My neighborhood Radio Shack is on the to be closed list now. Huge discounts on stuff I don't need. It's space is shared with Sprint. That part is supposed to stay open.

Sears Canada files for bankruptcy
They just announced that it will close this fall.I was just about to post this.
I'm surprised that my local Sears isn't on the list.
I had noticed that they took my advice and sold Craftsman too.
We should predict what year Sears/Kmart will all finally close there doors.
I say 2019
Even with all this writing on the wall I will still be surprised when my Kmart and Sears close. It seems like they will never die. They have both survived wave after wave of store closings and are still standing. I think a big part of my Sears staying open is that it is anchor to the Boca mall which is mostly an upscale mall (it has a Tesla, Apple store etc.) and also it has a Sears Auto Center attached to it. The regular store is never all that busy but the auto center does a ton of business. With my Kmart it too is never all that busy but it is in a prime location right off the I95 ramp in my town.
More Sears and Kmarts are closing in the U.S. and one of them is in Phoenix, that will leave 2 now in the valley.
