St. Louis is weird. We watched the first episode and I really want to find out what happened.

Reggie made me laugh, but even with all of the stars in it, I don't know if it has enough legs to last. I hope they can make it work.

I'm really looking forward to Ted and The Boys coming back.

I only watched a couple of episodes of Orville, but wanted to get back into it. Season 4 may give enough motivation to watch the rest of 1 through 3.

Butcher's Stain
A Friend of Dorothy
Jane Austen's Period Drama
The Singers
Two People Exchanging Saliva

My Sweet and I got to see these films tonight at the Cinema. The 2026 Oscar Short Film Live Action Series. All were good. Any one of these could win the Oscar.
I liked the 5th one the best while she liked the 2nd one. I liked the 2nd one 2nd best. All in all, a good night

I now have to decide if I will go see "The Bride" on Tuesday. I did not see "Frankenstein" last year. The original 1931 "Bride of Frankenstein" was a follow up
sequel to 1930 "Frankenstein". I don't know if that applies to the 2025 and 2026 versions. Otherwise, I should probably watch the new Frankenstein first

I enjoyed the 4th one, The Singers, the most but they were all good. Solid category.

This is the first time in about 3 years that I’ve been able to see all 15 short films (animated, documentary, live action) ahead of the Oscars. Some years they are quite elusive.

Watched the 2nd St. Louis. Still weird, but we’re hooked. Gotta find out what happens.

We watched the first Rooster. We’ll keep watching that too. It’s done by the creator of Scrubs, and Dr. Cox is in it, so there is some good dialog.

We watched the 1st St. Louis. Odd but captivating. We watched it on HBO Max, but then last night they aired the 2nd episode on "linear TV", AKA regular HBO, at 9 pm. And I'm so unaccustomed to tuning-in at a specific time, I forgot until Mrs. Scotch mentioned it. But then it was too far into the episode to go back. So we'll have to watch it on HBO Max. The actress who plays the wife was on Dead to Me with Christina Applegate.

We also plan to watch Rooster. But I was surprised to find out last night that The Studio is only 1 season, and we're getting near the end. I was sure it had 2 seasons, because of all the buzz and awards and such.

BTW, I haven't bothered to look back through all these threads, so I don't know if anyone watched Ripple on Netflix, but we got through that in January. I didn't mention it, because we thought it was "meh". It was kind-of being pushed by Netflix, and then a friend recommended it. And when we watched it, we began to see that it somewhat aligned with some of the ideology of our friend, and it all made sense.

I watched Wonder Man series. I thought it was a pretty good, the return of the Mandarin was nice. Wonder Man needs to appear in a MCU film to really determine on his powers.

I'm looking forward to Daredevil: Born Again season 2 which airs on March 24th.

Same here. Regarding DTF St. Louis, where do they come up with that shit? And I should note that the college dean on Rooster was one of the "Bobs" in Office Space.

This is kind of an aside, but the setting of St. Louis got me thinking. For one, does Jason Bateman have some association with Missouri? There's this show, and Ozark, and probably others. And it got me motivated to look-up St. Louis on a map. Here's my Captain Obvious observation: the state of Missouri looks a lot like Pennsylvania, in terms of having a big city within an urban area on the eastern border (St. Louis/Philadelphia), and then another big city in a rural area on the western border (Kansas City/Pittsburgh). Well at least I now know where those two Missouri cities are located, which is pretty good for an east coast guy.
