Yesterday Meme Girl, Mrs. Bag, the ex-Mrs. Bag and I saw "The Piano" at "Afternoon Tea". They brought us 3 courses of horrible food and bad hot tea during the film. The film was great, but Meme Girl did not like it at all.

Later I went back and saw "Dead Night", which used to be called "Applecart" and is awful. It's a cabin in the woods horror film that tries to be ... I'm not sure what it was trying to be, just that it failed. It has Barbara Crampton, from "Re-Animator" and was made by some guy that makes electronic press kits for Marvel movies.

I've been watching Sharp Objects and Succession

I was trying to save both until their seasons had aired but I got sucked into Sharp Objects yesterday. Succession only has 1 more episode left so I think I'll start watching it after work today.

While it's now been 20 years since, every time Mrs. Scotch and I were in the same place as ex-Mrs. Scotch, it either involved the police, or court magistrates. Your situation implies not just cordiality, but socialization. I'd be interested in hearing how that comes about.

It's simple. We have a kid. We aren't exactly friends, but we aren't enemies. We see each other pretty regularly and get along just fine. We both wish each other well for the benefit of Meme Girl.

Mrs. Bag is best friends with ex-Mrs. Bag. There was some drama around that 17 years ago, but they've worked it out. We're all adults.

We've all gone on vacation together. Earlier this year ex-Mrs. Bag and I chaperoned the high school seniors at a beach house.

That would be hot, but I didn't. Mrs. Bag was my girlfriend long before I met ex-Mrs. Bag. Then they became best friends. Ex-Mrs. Bag and I split up before I got back together with Mrs. Bag.

It always hot outside with the humidity in Houston.

Now I every time I see this commercial. I’ll thinking the bag’s as a swinger.

It seems like every week, The Affair strikes me a different way. This week it was an overload of gratuitous sex and nudity, which is saying a lot for this series. And I fail to see the point of sticking with the sex scene to completion, except to say "We're Showtime, you're paying a premium for this, so Your Welcome".

Without giving anything away, I'll just say that everyone is having sex with everybody. I think they may have jumped the shark on this one.

Does anyone really think that this commercial has anything to do with a baby kangaroo poking his head out of that pouch? It just looks like a 2 eyed dong with paws to me.

Last night Meme Girl and I saw "The King", a polemic using Elvis as a metaphor for America. Eugene Jarecki traces Elvis's history in one of his Rolls Royces, interviewing people along the way. Some love Elvis, others hate him, but the tragedy of his rise and fall has strong parallels to the American experiment. We both liked it a lot.

They talk to Ashton Kutcher about fame. He says he's much more famous than he deserves to be. As he's saying it a tour bus drives by and women scream "We love you Ashton!" He just waves them off with a weary expression.

They also talk to Alec Baldwin about Trump. At one point he stares at the camera and says "I don't know when this movie will be released, but ... there's no chance Trump will be elected."

Finally getting around watching a few films I bought and one of them was Ready Player One. Now that was a fantastic film and possibly my 2nd favorite film of the year. That movie literally had tributes to just about everything and awasome 80's music.
