2016 Movies & Tv Shows

i just saw weiner and its every bit as good as i had hoped.

watching weiner screw everything up, again, is a fun train wreck but for me the real takeaway from this movie was all about huma. the movie really made me like her. unless she is an amazing actor there seem to be a lot of real moments in the flick. at times when she and anthony are together you can see how just drained the whole mayoral campaign made her. she seems genuine. not like someone who just wants to advance a political career. you feel bad for her being married to such a doofus but at the same time she comes across as a strong, loving family woman. and a few superficial points...as far as politicians goes shes a 10. very pretty woman. however, there were a couple times where i took note of her baba booey type teeth. they must be caps or something cause she really does have quite the set of chompers.

I forget where, but I recently saw an interview with the 2 people who made this, and it did seem to be an interesting insight to someone who didn't realize how bad of an idea it was.

I tried to hang with The Nightly Show. I like Larry Wilmore. He just never seemed comfortable hosting the show, and that made him less funny.

wow, wilmore has some big credits. i only knew him as the guy from the daily show.

The 54-year-old Wilmore wrote for "In Living Color" and "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." He created "The Bernie Mac Show" (for which he shared a Peabody Award) and with Eddie Murphy co-created the animated series "The PJs." He is a creator of the upcoming HBO comedy "Insecure," starring Issa Rae, which premieres in October.

The trailer for The Arrival came out couple days ago, it looks a bit interesting.

What's wrong with this picture from the new Star Wars trailer?

I saw "April and the Extraordinary World" last night. It's a French steampunk cartoon, so the chances of it being good were very low, but somehow it worked. I saw "Empire of Corpses", (a Japanese steampunk cartoon) earlier this year and it didn't deliver on its potential. "April" does. Interesting graphic style with a story that makes sense. French without being annoying, and I have a fairly low tolerance for Frenchness.

Has anyone seen Stranger Things on Netflix. Do yourself a favor and watch it. It's excellent. You can thank me later.
