I attended a free preview of "Hell or High Water" last night. It won't hit theaters until August 12th they said. It's a crime drama set in Texas starring Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine.

It is horrible. The script is a ham handed collection of clichés. Every sentence of dialog is intended to make a deep political statement (spoiler: banks are bad). The performances are OK, but that script.

Stay home and watch John Sayles' "Lone Star" instead.

I'm seeing Bad Moms for sure but maybe the Bourne movie too I liked the Matt Damon ones. I didn't see the movie with the other guy.

We saw "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" tonight. Very funny, very good. The whole Bag family enjoyed it.

im really looking forward to that one. heard nothing but good things. also, rhys darby was great in conchords so ill always give him a shot.

Bad Moms was thoroughly enjoyable. Lots of good laughs and much to my surprise some appearances from former Badger JJ Watt. He played the soccer coach. The only negative was I bit into a hard popcorn kernel and now I have a tender tooth.

My tooth was better so we went to see Jason Bourne. It was a little too complicated for my brain but there was a nice chase seen througout the Las Vegas strip at the end. If they make another film in a few years I would still go. Eventually Jason will find himself and find internal peace.

you know its a hit when the studio heads let larry make a season whenever he wants. hbo has said the same thing about conchords and while i doubt they will ever make a season 3 it would be nice.

bummer, i was looking forward to these new dc movies and looks like they are all crap. im sure it will make a ton of money but i wonder if even though it scores huge profits will it be a disappointment to the studio like b v. s.

Nine Lives wasn't available at our cinema so this morning we went to see Suicide Squad. I guess I really didn't know it was a Batman related movie. It was good. It was only our second time in the UltraPlex screen room. The last time was Star Wars. We usually go to the movies in the Bistro rooms. Looks like they will be making another one.

I was suppose to see Suicide Squad last night, but I finally got around to see it today and it's pretty good! Hell a lot better then BvS, it definitely DC version of Guardians of The Galaxy. The storyline actually made sense, maybe all of those reshoots help.

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn is awesome, Will Smith finally redeemed himself as an actor again. Jared Leto as the Joker is pretty alright, he no Heath Ledger but he kinda remind me of the Cesar Romero role. Ben Afflack as Batman is approving on me.

Hopefully DC can stay on the right track? Next up will be Wonder Woman and Justice League.

Took the family to see "Nuts!" last night, the story of John Romulus Brinkley. We all enjoyed it. The way the story was told was as interesting as the story itself.

I'm bummed that Killam is gone. He could have done a couple more years and done a great job.
Pharoah will be missed with his Carson impersonation.

In an interview, Killam seemed to be surprised and confused about not being asked back. Baffling.
