I just discovered Jimmy John's subs which is right across the street where I work. The subs are fantastic, the prices are reasonable and they are very fast delivering your food! So has anyone tried Jimmy John's yet?

I love when I travel to Detroit because that is the only place I can get it; they don't have them near me. Between that and Potbelly I love it here.

Actually, I think they are just average. Not bad, but I prefer Potbelly.

We have Potbelly and Jimmy John's here. It seems like "sick food" to me, like something I want when my stomach is upset and my nose is stuffed up and I can't taste anything anyway. Very bland.

You guys must have horrible chains in your area. The Jimmy Johns and Potbelly here in Southfield, MI are amazing (as amazing as a sandwich shop/deli can be). Nothing even close to bland.

Yep. They are sandwiches.
I like Jimmy Jim's better than pot bellies though. JJ's bread is better to me.

They're the same everywhere. Some meat and veg on bread. I've got nothing against sandwiches, but unless you're frying something or using some ingredient I don't have at home, I can make the same thing at home.

When I'm sick.

Jimmy John's is too far from my home so I never have tried it. Someone told me PotBelly has a real good Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich but it is right next to our Texas Roadhouse so we have never given it a chance.

I like Jimmy John's when the mood strikes every now and then. I always get the Big John. Pretty basic stuff - meat, iceberg lettuce, tomato and mayo. The roll is pretty darn yummy.

Jimmy John's is a pretty good place. The closest Potbelly is about 4 hours away, so it will be a while before I get to try them.

Firehouse Subs are good as well, and so is Jersey Mike's, but JM is a bit pricey.

Yes, yes they do. I order them and I am never disappointed. They just use Skippy and Welch's grape jelly but they toast the bread first.

I know a guy who'd order it with bacon...

I thought so too until I tried this. I also swore that I'd never order it just because it is dumb to order one at a restaurant but it is worth it when you have a craving for one. Best one I've ever had.
