The concept is spot on, they are just trading one set of risks for another.
In theory, it should be safer since there is less time working over traffic and and up on scaffolding.
I'm really curious about what they determine the cause was.
The forensic engineers do some cool stuff.

Nope. I'm not going to drag any of my clients into this mayhem.

It's not anything that would win a design award, or really make you give it a second look. It matched another one that they had built several years earlier.

It looked like a ratty ship to begin with.


I looked at the pictures before I read the article.
I thought they were pulling a section out of a decommissioned cruise ship to make an apartment building.

I been to San Diego and never aboard the Queen Mary. But I have seen in person and in photos, there are rocks surrounding the ship. Plus you can partially see in the pic the ship is anchored to land. I doubt the ship still runs.

Not sure what happened, but the original video I posted got replaced by a much shorter one.
