Thanks for your votes guys. I updated the voting results on my spreadsheet and there still no ties, which I'm glad. There are 6 movies now advancing to the sweet 16 and the rest can be anybody race.
Here is the 2nd round of the 2017 DRC Movie Madness, there are 32 movies and 16 will advance based on your votes.
I have created couple new rules below:
- Just either bold or delete the movie you are not voting for.
- If you pass on a vote. Please let me me know, just incase you are not skipping it.
- If there a tie, the movie that supposedly will be facing it will get a next round bye.
- The deadline to submit your vote for the 2nd round will be on Friday night at 10pm EST.
Have fun and let the madness begin!
May I make a suggestion that in the event of a tie, rather than the next movie getting a bye, advance both and have a 3 way next round? The additional film will likely break the tie.
My picks
Back To The Future, Part 1
This Is Spinal Tap
(as if there was any doubt)
The Wizard of Oz
Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
Godfather II
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn
Office Space
Jurassic Park
The Godfather
Die Hard
Breakfast At Tiffany’s
E.T.
Star Wars IV: A New Hope
A Hard Days Night
Saving Private Ryan
The Big Lebowski
(toss up)
The Shining
Singin' In The Rain
The Shawshank Redemption
Airplane!
(very difficult choice. Both excellent films in their own right)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Star Wars V: Empire Strikes Back
(another touch choice)
Pulp Fiction
Goodfellas
(can I put Empire Strikes Back here instead? Neither film appealed to me. My choice is my least disliked)
2001: A Space Odyssey
Raising Arizona
(another tough choice)
The Breakfast Club
The Green Mile
(and another)
Animal House
A Field of Dreams
(and another)
Raiders of The Lost Ark
Ghostbusters (1984)
(and yet another)
I'll take your suggestion into consideration.
Now there are a few movies that are tied and once again, it will be coming down to Hectic breaking the ties.
He already voted.
I went back to page 9 and he voted for the 1st round, not for the 2nd round yet.
