Yet Another Topic That Makes Howard Go Silent

Would anyone here want to go onto Twitter to war with Trump? I don't. Howard's move in such cases is to become a big supporter, but if he prefers Clinton there's no option except to STFU.

Yeah... I think Howard thinks he'd love to have a sitting president in on the show, but he realizes his buddy Trump would be such a disaster, he doesn't want to have an Imus or O&A-type war with Trump.

What would Trump do if Howard expressed his honest opinion? Stern's not afraid to criticize other public figures. I don't understand the problem.

Trump is in a unique position. He can yell louder than Howard, he has a bigger platform than Howard, and he's up to bigger things at the moment than Howard.

Howard is normally in a position of strength with this factors, but not here and now. "Art of War" says many things, including don't fight a losing battle. IMO, I think that Howard thinks it would be a losing battle, hence the silence.

(Not that I think Howard is a disciple of "Art of War," but it generally has good advice that many people follow accidentally.)

Well, I see Trump has picked an uber-conservative in Mike Pence.

If Howard wants a return to the "Janet Jackson showed her breast and let's figure out a way to censor SiriusXM" then, by all means, he should endorse his boy Trump.

And no, I wouldn't be surprised if such a scenario were to happen. Remember...it's all about not corrupting the kids.

Pence is very anti-gay. He believes in those conversion programs.

Howard has deluded himself into thinking that Trump has taken a socially neutral position, when that's clearly not the case. Pence reinforces that.

And for the self-proclaimed "hero of the lesbian community," things just got REAL interesting.

He had Wolfie find some real scumbags at the RNC. (The guy who yells "transgendering" and pees on the seats in women's restrooms, for example.)

Let's see what happens next week..if Wolfie is at the DNC, he'll have the tape.

Isn't Norm the one who said Howard "enabled" Artie? I honestly do not get Norm.
Norm is an odd guy. I'm not sure whether he said that (someone else might know), but it doesn't surprise me. Frankly, everyone knew what was up with Artie - including us listeners - but Howard did that fake naive thing, "How should I know? I just go by what he tells me; I'm not his parent, so it's not my business". So by taking that position, Howard allowed the situation to fester for much longer than it should have. And during that time, Artie was making big money from the show, allowing him to keep buying drugs.

Gee, I don't know... he's Norm's best friend and was Howard's very troubled sidekick, who has not been discussed since. Just maybe Howard could've asked how he's doing, and Norm would've given a brief answer.

And no one should be surprised. The first day without Billy, Howard played the "Who's Billy?" card when callers asked about him that morning.

In this case, it's the entire show that goes silent, when Robin does the news. What happened to Fred's sound drops? It occurred to me that one of the reasons Robin's news segment is so dry and boring, is due to a lack of sound drops. All we get is Robin's theme song over and over, every time she editorializes the news, and actually, I think Howard controls the Robin song. What happened to the Gilbert drops, or Paris Hilton, or Scott the engineer, or Riley Martin, or the vodka girls, or anything? Am I wrong?
