The whole waterfall project was really just a big lab experiment to study the human condition. Mrs Scotch was getting bored with the house, after we unsuccessfully tried to sell it (the first time). So the waterfall was her every-weekend project one summer. She would build it (with our help), then decide to do it differently, and then dismantle it and rebuild.
The following spring, she would have a better idea, or just want to change it around, so we'd rebuild it. It wasn't until the 3rd summer that we fixed it up and finally left it alone. After that, we bought the new property, and then put the house on the market.
Why not a sharknado?
I thought of maybe putting in goldfish. But my luck I live in the desert they will all pretty much die?
Now you can create a new experiment on your new property if the wife gets bored again.
We actually have a stream running from the midpoint of our property to the drop-off at the back end. And it will be helped along by the 2 culverts we have, which are directed towards it. So that's all set, but the Mrs is all into clearing around it.
It took nearly 3 hours tonight but I finally got the landscape design completed and got that nasty dirt rain out of the pond. Here are the before and after pics. Now I just need to complete the waterfall design. I’ll probably take a break from it tomorrow and complete it sometime this weekend.

Thanks, I agree the cinder block fences are better for privacy sup when you have a two-story house next to you. But I prefer them over a wooden fence, plus they are easier to maintain. I have seen some material which I could paint on the wall which I may do down the road.
Since I got my dog, she mainly poops in one location in the yard which totally works for me. Since I got my sod, she has only pooped a couple of times on it, but she still does it in the far end of the yard. But when I was constructing the pond she did pee in it quite a few times. But since the liner has been placed she hasn't been in it yet.
I did some changes to the stones pathway, moved some plants and bricks around last night and I got rest of the sand out of the pond liner which looks brand new again. Maybe this weekend or later this week, I will finally finish up the waterfall display and fill up the pond with water.

Where do you plan on putting the pump Wolf?
There is a big fountain right outside the window of my new work and I find myself staring at it for minutes at a time. That and those buses that have the accordion attaching a regular bus to another back section of the bus.

In the pond, it will help filter the water and circulate the water and produce the waterfall.
I assumed that much, but how big is it? The waterfall doesn't seem that deep so I'm wondering how you will hide it or if the water will naturally hide it. I'm also interested to see how you position the piping.
This is probably the pump I will buy later this week and here are the dimensions: 6.5-in x 3.75-in x 4-in (L x W x H) with 16-ft power cord and the pond is about 6" deep. The pump will probably be seen, but it won't bother me. Down, the road I can find things to cover it up and the hose will somehow be hiding behind the waterfall. I'll figure out everything by end of the week and probably add stuff to hide some things.

I just completed the waterfall display. It took a while to get the right water flow which created a mess of dirt into the pond. Once I got that completed, I clean up the mess and here is the final look without the pump and water.
I will layout some garden soil on top of the dirt when I hide the pipe under the black water buckets. If you look closely under one of the black water buckets is some bricks, that where I will probably layout the hose to the top. So I guess the hose will be seen, but I can find ways to cover it up.

After a little morning monsoon storm. I finally complted my pond/waterfall this morning. I tried my best hiding the hose and pump.

That looks great Wolf! I like the heavy flow of the top part of the waterfall.
May I make a small constructive suggestion? That part right where the waterfall meets the pool you can see the lining of the pool. Could you put a few pebbles there or something to cover it up?
Also, I was asking about pump placement a few days ago...I like where it wound up. I can still see it a little bit but I really had to look for it so it is well hidden. The churning water does a great job of camouflaging it.
