Welcome to the 678th edition of Who Am I?, the weekly game where I dish out a daily clue to a subject and you have to guess who or what it is.

Every day, the clues get easier. The winner of this week's game gets a piece of my gratitude.

This week's subject is a PERSON.

CLUE #1: I was born in the 1900s.

Paul Long was a DJ who worked at KNAC in Long Beach, 1986-94, and KLOS in Los Angeles, 1994-97. His on-air name was Long Paul. If Dick Long had been a DJ, he could have ca..........no, never mind.

I'm assuming the clue refers to 1900-09 and not 1900-99. MLB's regular 2024 season begins this week so I am guessing Lou Gehrig.

I would have guessed Shoeless Joe Jackson in spirit of big name baseball players banned or about to be banned for life for gambling on and/or fixing baseball games. But he was born in 1887.

Instead I will go withe Pete Rose -- same baseball theme. He was born in 1941.

Not sure why this just hit me, but maybe 'born in the 1900s' means 1900-1909, not 1900-1999? EDIT: Just seeing C98's post about the same thing.

I'd like to change my guess to Walt Disney, born in 1901.

But boy will I be pissed if it IS Dick Long....

Since I have no other guess, and the clue is indeterminate I will stick with Pete Rose.
