What Bands Do You Confuse With One-another?

The first time I heard More Than Words by Extreme, I thought it was the Everly Brothers. Christian band Harvest sounded just like Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers.

Jim Peterik, lead singer of The Ides Of March from 1966 to 1973, co-founded Survivor in 1978 and co-wrote all seven of their top-40 hits. Original lead singer Dave Bickler was replaced by Jimi Jamison in 1984. Peterik – why wasn't he lead singer? – was the band's keyboardist, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist. This was number one for six weeks in July-August 1982:

I use to get The Motels mixed up with somebody too but I can't remember anymore. I would put that group's cassette into The Motels cassette case.
Now that will bug me who it was.
