Here is another coronavirus story which is equally appropriate for the Dumb Dodo thread. Rally attendees were required to sign a statement agreeing to not sue the Trump campaign or the arena in the event they contracted the COVID-19 virus. Now we learn campaign workers pretty much guaranteed attendees would be exposed to the virus.

Make America Suffer some more should be the slogan. I wouldn't be able to sleep if the boss asked me to remove those stickers.

Maybe they had pictures of confederate generals on them and therefore had to be destroyed.
 
Let's put subscription money down on whether the prez resigns and let's pence go for the gold before election day.
 
Interesting thought. I have wondered if he would quit like he has done with his casinos, his airline, beverages, university, vodka, yadda, yadda....
 
I'm not getting political here – just take my word for that – but have you noticed how Pence is starting to sound just like Trump? On Friday, he said we've "flattened the curve" – even though 48 of the 50 states saw increases in coronavirus hospitalizations in the past week. He also contradicts all the medical experts and claims the high number of coronavirus cases is only because we're "doing a better job of testing," not because the disease continues to spread. And today he spoke at a Texas church where none of the choir members wore face masks. As for Trump quitting – never. He would not want to be forever known as a quitter. And now for the latest news:

We really have to resist the urge to to talk politics. Me included.
The next 5 months are going to suck.
 
I think it would be hard to play with a mask on, but those are the people, (and the people around them) that should be wearing masks for sure.

My favorite local guitar store is closing, and tomorrow is their last day. It's hard for a mom & pop music store to make it these days, and the couple that own it are retiring, so I stopped in one last time to buy some strings and say goodbye. I've known them since I was probably 10 years old. It was just the 3 of us for the last half hour, and I wore my mask the whole damned time. I'm not going to be the one that gets them sick before they get to enjoy their retirement.
 
Arizona Issues New Shutdown Order As Coronavirus Cases Spike


In an about-face, Arizona's Gov. Doug Ducey has ordered the states bars, gyms, movie theaters and water parks to shut down for at least 30 days amid thousands of new coronavirus cases in the state.

Ducey issued the order Monday to go into effect from 8 p.m. local time, citing concern over a recent spike in new cases – including a one-day record of more than 3,800 in the state on Sunday. It was the seventh time in the past ten days that new cases in Arizona exceeded 3,000



I haven't gone tubing in years and that is a fun getaway but always crowded.

 
For months, people here in Maine have been bitching about the "overly cautious" policy of our Governor (who happens to be a democrat), and they keep pointing to states like Florida and Arizona which have a more "business-friendly" policy. Ironic, huh? And there were still people (like my sister) who thought that heat and sunlight would make it go away. Not so much.

Anybody who understood Australia's weather in January & February would know that is not true.

Typically cold and flu slow down spread in spring and summer since people go outside more. This virus isn't the same. On the other hand the lockdown has meant people go outside less.
