Watch Out For That...

Not all of them died. some flew back up. I vote for incredible downdraft that pushed then all down. Those too close to the bottom of the flock hit the earth. The ones a bit behind were able to recover.
 
One thing that I find odd is that someone was videotaping it. If you look carefully, the camera is moving, so it's not a fixed surveillance camera. Why would a person be taking video out that window at that time? Certainly, it might be 2 minutes into the video, but what was the original intent?

The camera could of moved due to wind. It would support the downdraft theory.

I watched it again. The film is from a camera watching a stationary tv screen. The camera on the first screen is stationary.
 
So the youtube clip was posted by someone who was recording the original broadcast of the story on TV. And the event was likely originally captured by a surveillance camera.
