Chris Rock's 2011 visit is on the "Howard Stern History" section of the app inside the Howard 101 section.

Not only did we hear the famous "fuckin' Howard Stern" drop, but we also heard Chris and Howard talk about the iPad being the greatest invention ever.

Except it really wasn't an invention, right? The Amazon Fire tablet was first. IIRC, the iPad isn't much more than an oversized iPod touch, right? The "invention" is moreso the portable touch screen, right?

And I'm fairly sure she has a terrible case of vocal fry too.

I've made it past the nine minute mark of that podcast just because it's that terrible.

I found some gawdawful podcast that's basically a ripoff of Rob Paravonian's Pachelbel rant.

I'm convinced that most podcasters either:
1) Use shitty recording software.
2) Use fake voices when they talk.
3) Use some sort of weird effects on their voice.

No way do they all sound like that in real life.
 
Will Howard retire? There was that article from The Sun (a terrible organization) that suggested he was offered a lowball contract and a lot of his writers are withholding good material.

Howard blasted JD for announcing his engagement on Twitter. If/when Howard has anything to say, he'll announce it on his radio show.

As of now, I don't think he's signed for 2026 and beyond. I do think the longer he waits, the better the odds are that he comes back.

I have a feeling that if Kamala Harris won the election, he probably would be retiring, especially with Robin's health. There's rumors that her cancer has come back, etc.

If Howard retires during Donald Trump's second term, he capitulates to the right wing... something that he didn't do in 2006. Because of the 2024 election, I think he wants to come back.

Part of me thinks SiriusXM wants him to use his name/channels to promote the other channels on SiriusXM and various celebrities and their other projects.

Howard comes back on the 36th week of the year. His final week is the 51st week of the year. By my count, that's 16 weeks...then take two weeks away for October and Thanksgiving and he's down to 14 weeks.

Honestly, if he was gone, I think some of the staffers would probably be looking for jobs by now, unless SiriusXM promised them all stuff...which I doubt.

I think he comes back, but I'm not sure if it's for five years. He signed for five years in 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020. Wow.

Let's see how this ages.

Yup.

As they've done since 2021. I think Jimble Kimble is off that entire week AND he was also off the week before Boff. Howard has done similar "vacation games" since 2006 where he took vacation during the week before a holiday. In other words, it's nothing new.

But I am starting to get the "contract signed" feeling.
 
Well I'm sort of queries about the story of his retirement or no contract.

I had the last 2 weeks of the show on my little radio and I haven't touched it for 2 months.

So, ok. It's 8:27am ET on the day after Labor Day.

At 7am, Howard 100 ran a promo saying he'll now speak Monday. As Robin said in the new promo: "What the eff?"

He has a scant 125,000 listeners per day, sources say. It used to be 20 million one they say. Sirius doesn't know how many people are listening to 100. A friend and I are not being counted.
