Various Thoughts

I have no idea why this came up on my Facebook feed today

and it's something for which I have no recollection. But I wanted to see if this was in-fact a true event, and it was. It happened in 1999. Of course, she was messed-up on drugs, but reportedly the callers into the show were brutal, and Howard was sometimes defending her, and sometimes making jokes about her situation. Years later, her son shot himself.

Has this been brought up since?

And then on Wednesday:

While searching for the Dana Plato stuff, I found this from the 2nd MarksFriggin link:

"Britney told Howard that she's really having fun doing the stuff that she's doing. It's a little tough with all of the promotion she's doing for her new album ''Oops!.. I Did It Again'' but when she's on tour she said she has a lot of fun. Howard asked her about the guys that she's been allegedly dating. Prince William is one guy who's been mentioned but she says she's never met him. They've exchanged some notes but that's it. She also hangs out with one of the guys from 'N Sync. She just hangs out with him though. She's not dating him for those of you who were wondering.. anyone?"

And it's funny and great that the links to MarksFriggin Amazon store still work. It's rare that I buy stuff from Amazon, but I (like others) have an Amazon Smile. I don't think the two are compatible.

A buddy gave me a thumb drive with a lot of Howard Stern Shows on it. One of them is the 12-16-2005 "farewell show."

Say what you want about the current state of the show.

But you know what they said? Sirius was never going to last and Howard would come crawling back to terrestrial. In a way, they were right. Sirius Satellite Radio died in, what, 2008? It's now SiriusXM Pandora Stitcher.

I want to put the following people on a show on Howard 101:

King of All Blacks
Angry Alice
Pastor Manning (the "OBAMA!" guy.)

It'd be epic radio.

I wonder if this is the person that put the Boston Marathon bomber on the cover. That's when Rolling Stone lost me.

Jann was on last October or so. There's clips and highlights all over the internet. I feel like Howard also ragged on Jann at one point, but I could be wrong.
