I think the anagram clue was Catch Tire.
I had to replay to confirm. They were looking for someone's nickname: the first contestant guessed "Chainsaw", the 2nd guessed "Saw", and the 3rd guessed "Chainsaw". Whaaaat???

I assume "Chainsaw" was not correct? I guess there is no rule against repeating an incorrect answer.

I didn't pay attention to the correct answer, but it was not chainsaw, or saw, or chainsaw again.

With the Second Chance tournament now on, it gives me an opportunity to root for past (losing) contestants that I liked. On Monday, this likeable yahoo from Oklahoma won; Will Yancey. He sounds like he should be in a cartoon with Foghorn Leghorn.
Last night, I was rooting for this guy; Josh Moss. He's starting a brewery in Boston, and he's got a Ph.D. in Chemistry from MIT.
He had a good run for a while, but blew it in the end. It's fun to see if you can remember the contestants from their previous game.

I was looking for a picture to include in a post about how this guy is both pretty and smart (and lives in Honolulu to boot) - all of which makes me feel like a loser. I'm much better at accepting a jeopardy champ who's demonstrably a social outcast.
I also thought it rhymed with "groins", but of course Ken Jennings - who pronounces everything correctly - said "GO-ins".
Speaking of which, Jennings shares his pronunciation of "genre" with the late Alex Trebek. Instead of saying "ZHON-ruh", he says something that sounds like "ZHORN". Listen for yourself

I think it was in one of those 40+ executive orders to preempt Jeopardy with inauguration footage. Probably the one that said the flags have to be at full-staff.

Drew Goins is having quite a bit of luck to go along with his Jeopardy smarts. First, he gets picked for the 2nd chance tournament (after losing in his initial game appearance), where he wins his round, and qualifies to move-on. That puts him in the Champions Wildcard, where he gets into the finals, but finishes in 2nd. Only the winner moves on to the Tournament of Champions.
But wait: one of the ToC qualifiers - Lisa Ann Walter, the Celebrity Jeopardy winner - couldn't make the appearance because of a scheduling conflict. So guess who replaces her? Drew Goins. And he blows away the competition in the quarter-final game.
