Well, I can tell you, we're not using SpaceX on our next vacation.

I wonder if taxpayers will be footing any of that? That launch pad is wrecked.

Why test the engine with the payload strapped on? That seems overly optimistic.

I imagine...it might be easier to lift the rocket and payload as a whole, than to have a crane put it up at the top, a day or two before launch.

Either way, it was spectacular
 
I'm certain that brought back a lot of bad memories for NASA.

You can see the towers flex from the concussion. It's pretty trippy like the nuclear test footage from the 40's.
The camera must be a crazy long distance from the rocket too. It took a long time for the sound to reach the camera.
