The Secret Santa Revolt

The whole point of the SECRET Santa is that you're supposed to keep the name SECRET. That way you avoid these types of issues. Also, a dollar limit is usually placed on the gift so everyone gets something of equal monetary if not personal value.

If this was only a bit, it sucked. If it was complete ignorance of how the thing operates on Howard's part, then he shouldn't have started it in the first place.

Either way, its a stupid premise for the show. Audience members don't know 90% of the people behind the scenes and likely don't care who gave what to whom. The crew's obsession with how much a gift is worth is what annoys me the most.

:bigthumbup:That's what I'm talking about, the outright GREED but we shouldn't be surprised after all it's the Christmas season and that kind of behavior is to be expected.

In the spirit of the season, I'd like to nominate as the best Christmas Carol parody/performance ever from the show:

Release Robin's Bra . . . nope.
Moozzarell, Moozzarell, Moozzarell Balls . . . nope.
I'm Dreaming of a White Penis . . . nope.

No, none of those. Instead, the best of all time was played as the intro song this morning:

The 12 Days of Christmas - as performed by Crackhead Bob, Elephant Boy and Cleft Pallet

The best part was Crackhead Bob's solo on the very first day - "Danna dardidge din darnear dee" and Cleft's completely unintelligible "Fargar runs" (Five Gold Rings). Two Thumbs Up!!

That's interesting. I was thinking just the opposite this morning. For me, it was tired and tedious although I am sometimes an Elephant Boy fan (love it when he revs up a crowd).. I wonder if Howard is going to send the speech impediment bits to the dust bin just as he seems to be slowly doing with nigger bits and fag bits? I doubt it.

Gotta disagree. Nothing againt 12 Days, but Release Robin's Bra is a timeless classic that I always begin to sing after I hear it.

No thanks man. Mods don't like this shit, so I'll pass. Have fun arguing with yourself this time.

Buh bye!!!! :hw:

It was close, but I personally like the classics. Besides, a hispanic song used as a parody of a black woman?

I'd probably get accused of laughing at "nigger and spic" bits by one of these types ->:soapbox:

and boy I don't want that.

Ok I'll bite. Point being that maybe Beth and maybe Howard's daughters have caused Howard to tone down certain aspects of his humor... He usually says "N-word" now and no longer uses "fag". In the old days, every skit had a lisping homo. Haven't heard one of those skits in years. In his commercial radio days, he needed those things to be outrageous beause he couldn't curse or get too explicity on sex without getting bleeped or fined. So he doesn't need those things so much now and probably wants to please Beth and daughters or maybe he finds them hard to defend. I don't know. He was also way into speech impediment humor.. Don't hear as much of that as I used to. Elephant Boy rarely appears. Wondering if he is phasing that kind of humor out too.

Jesus Christ what a ponderous analysis of radio entertainment. I'm so glad the mods have put the clamp on me replying to that morass of psuedo/psycho babble. Getting sucked into that BS would be like drowning in Geezer Land.

So once again: Buh bye!! :hw:

I know you don't want that but here we go...I agree that is classic and I dig the shit out of it. That song ALWAYS played in my house during this joyous holiday season.

Naw, I like it too. I was only kidding about the soapbox guy. Anything he says definitely ain't worth the time.
