I have gotten several e-mails offering self-cleaning sheets. I just delete them. I am sure there is no such thing as a self-cleaning sheet.

Like bed sheets? I mean that's a weird scam but if it was true it would be really cool. Changing sheets is always the worst part of laundry day.
Those sheets are made by the Miracle Brand company in Jersey City, New Jersey. According to their website, they are "NASA-inspired sheets infused with silver that prevents up to 99.7% of bacteria growth." It is misleading to call them "self-cleaning." They still have to be washed – unless you don't mind sleeping on dirty sheets. Listener, unless those emails are from Miracle Brand, you are wise to delete them all. They're probably from scammers who buy sheets from the company and then try to resell them at a huge profit (and maybe steal your credit card information at the same time).
Today I got one of those emails offering "self-cleaning sheets." We know they are not self-cleaning – and the email did not come from the manufacturer. It came from online@readeroi, which is a spoofed website. It doesn't exist. I got another email from the same sender: "Get rid of your debt with a personal loan." I have no debt – and even if I did, I would never obtain a loan from someone using a fake name and a fake email address.
A few months ago, I came to the realization that a bunch of spam emails were evading my spam folder, because they used an individualization technique that involved including a number in the email address. Here's an example of the email headers:

So you'll notice a few things:
- All the email addresses have 170 in them. When I started noticing this, they all had 138, then 139, 140 etc. The numbers increment every week or 2.
- All the physical addresses are one of a handful of companies in Las Vegas.
I was able to go into my email settings, and have any emails with "138", "139", etc. go to the unwanted folder. The only problem is over time, I have to update the list of numbers.

There must be a way to weed them out. Like add a filter for any address with 170 in it or something.
Or on the other hand a Prince from Nigeria may really need your help, all you have to do is give him your CC info and you will be paid back in spades.

Argh. That post was like 10 sentences and used hyphens and numbers and had 0 pictures. Any reasonable person wouldn't be able to make it to the end.
Why do guys get guilted into washing their hands after peeing?
I mean it's by far the cleanest part of my body and it's not like I pee on my hands when holding it.
In the shower I focus on that area and the pits the most. and the groin is always covered by 2 layers of clothing. My arms and legs and hands and face get way more daily grime on them due to lack of clothing protection.

Today, February 19, 2024, is Presidents' Day. That is according to most calendars but not according to the federal government, which continues to call the day George Washington's Birthday. Washington was born on February 22, 1732, but since 1971 his birthday has been celebrated on the third Monday in February. I doubt he would have approved of that change.
