It's the groundhog version of this

Groundhogs are very introspective critters.

Can't they make a paper that biodegrades better? Reusable cups at any fast food place (and Starbucks is fast food) is not going to go over well. Even with their demo.

Other local coffee shops do that.
They hit the inside with a few blasts of steam from the espresso machine to sanitize the inside, then fill it up.
That would be more appealing than reusing a cup that a thousand other people have kept in their car till they grew mold, spit in. and gawd only knows what else. No thanks. If they ever switch over to that model completely, I won't go back.

I love what Jimmy Kimmel said last night. During yesterday's confirmation hearing, Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson was wrongfully accused by certain Senators of being "soft on crime." Kimmel's response: "It’s funny listening to the same people who let the President get away with trying to overthrow the government call anyone soft on crime.”

Anybody else has had only one cell phone number? I was realizing that I've got the same cell phone number that I first had in the early 90's with the Motorola bag phone.
No. Until sometime in the 2000s they didn't allow transfers between companies. I have had the last 4 digits from the start.

I'm an engineer, but not an early adopter. Mrs. Scotch had a cell phone when they were first available, but I resisted. I thought, I drive a stick, why do I need to answer a cell phone while driving? I kept saying that I'm either at home or at work or going from one to the other, so why do I need it?

So when I finally got one, we both went to a plan at the same time, and got adjacent phone numbers, which we still have.

I use to change my number every few years. I got tired of receiving phone calls from creditors and certain ex-friends. Now that call blocking has been introduce. This is the longest phone #, that I have ever had. Now I have a little over 1000 numbers blocked.

Do I need to report my burners?

Somehow I managed to keep my original cell number that I got in 97.
I didn't have to deal with a bag phone, but the Mrs. had one that she used till around 99.
When she got a real mobile, the guy at the store said she "could reach the badlands" with that old phone.
They had the kind of wattage that would give you an instant tumor if you had to put them next to your head.

Is it just me, or does that seem like an insane number? If I counted all the people who have ever known my number, it would only be a few hundred. I have 1 number blocked - CVS Caremark. They'll just leave a message.

He could be blocking numbers which call from the VISA Security Department as well. Or perhaps he added the DRC phone book.

I also receive tons of spam phone calls. I don’t know how many are officially blocked in my iPhone. Here is a screenshot of an app that blocks calls for me. That’s close to 800 numbers.7741C2A9-AA3D-4163-82FC-2704128436D9.jpeg

Like most people, I get the incessant calls for extended car warranties and the like. But the number is different every time. Perhaps the app you use takes care of that.
