ok its picture time. i made quite the discovery last night. i found the receipt for the chair in the side pocket and oh boy these things are expensive:

when i thought i would have to buy a new one myself i expected to pay around $250. from what i saw the cheapest i could possibly hope for a quality easy chair was around that.

its a good looking chair:

and here we have the fun part. standing up on your own is for chumps!

haha so i got a $700 handicapped persons chair totally free. good stuff!

its my dads birthday. the old man is 89. as usual for just about every holiday ill be going and having dinner with him in an hour or so. hes big into plants and flowers and stuff like that so i got him a couple small plants...a cactus and a aloe. he has read all the david mccullough books about the presidents. i figured he would probably still like the author even if the book is about something else so i got him mccullough's new book about the wright brothers. ive also told him that it would be kinda embarrassing to make it all the way to 89 and die before a nice even 90 so he is required to live at least another year.
