I actually live down the street from my parents and the home of my youth.

Only lived away for college.

My folks moved to FL in 02. I followed them in on 05 and I've been here ever since. Before that it was the Philly burbs.

I was born in Saskatoon, SK. I moved with my parents when I was 8 to Regina, SK. Once I was done university I moved to Toronto, ON. My parents later moved back to Saskatoon to retire. Regina is my hometown. But I live in Toronto now and will until I retire.

I was born in Glendale (as was my father). I still live in Glendale. Teri and I were planning to move to Washington state but she wound up dying of heart failure in 2020. I will likely die in Glendale.

I never thought of the LA area as a multigenerational hometown, but you've proven me wrong.

I spent most of my childhood in the same house in suburban north Jersey. I commuted to college. My post college plan was to get the hell out of NJ. I interviewed for jobs in DC and Boston. I took the Boston job. So I basically made a clean break.

My sister and brother moved to towns very close to where we grew up, and stayed there. About half of my childhood friends still live in my hometown.

Mrs. Scotch grew up in the Boston area, and slowly moved farther into the suburbs.
