i could go on another "fat people" type rant about people who put things on layaway at walmart but i wont. this is a lovely, nice holiday story.

I'm conflicted as to whether it's good or bad that they're crying and remorseful now.
i took it as an opportunity to laugh at their tears. screw you 2, have fun in jail for at least the next 7 years. and it sends a strong message for people not to fuck around like that again.
on the flip side, it is a bit harsh since no one was physically hurt.
but overall i believe it's a good thing. sometimes i think 'hate crime' can be thrown around a bit too liberally but in this case that's exactly what it was and they deserve the harsher punishment that comes with the title.
I do agree that it seems like an extreme sentence, when compared to other serious crimes where people serve very little time. But I'm perplexed by the woman's statement, "This is not who we are, I would never stand in front of you and say those things". Uhhh, that's exactly what you did.
Sooooo..... she better hope that orange really is the new black. They are going to have a rough time of it in the pokey.

One time I was driving to my (ex)girlfriend's house and a baby owl was in the street. I stopped my car and with my headlights shining on it, I got out of my car and tried to pick it up.
It looked at me with its big eyes. I tried picking it up but it hopped out of my hands and flew away.
It had the softest features
The owl is fattening up the kitten.
