Oh shit our LG Landon Dickerson is going on IR.
Craziest thing is that he knew it might happen but found out it was a done deal on air while doing The Players Lounge show (I listen to it every week in season, I listen to a ton of WIP). All the talk today was about how poor he played yesterday. It's sad. He's been injury prone since college and this offseason said he came back too soon last season. It hurt me to watch him get pushed back with some ease by the Skins' DT's.
Now we do have Willie Lampkin and Drew Kendall as backups and they both looked truly AMAZING in the preseason (against backup D-Lines) so here's to hoping that awesome gameplay with transfer over to the real football against starters in the regular season.
That guy who told him is, like Ike Reese says, a Birds beat writer. I listen to him almost day of the year cause he does a 30 min daily Birds podcast all throughout the season. He also does spots on all the WIP regular shows, Go Birds Radio on Saturdays and the Go Birds podcast once or twice a week with a cohost. I hear his voice almost as much as I hear Pam's.
