Sundials in most areas will not be correct on Sunday...

I have my watch box in the living room right now. I've got 18 watches to set.
(2 winders that I don't have to set, and one that needs a new battery anyway.)

I have about 3 watches with dead batteries, maybe 2 running, and the rest I set and jiggle to wear. I'm wearing my Oris automatic 99% of the time, on the occasion that I wear one.

A woman on our local Christian music station just informed us, "This weekend we get an extra hour of daylight." Ummm.......no, we don't. I'm guessing she is the type who would cut a foot off the end of her bedsheet and sew it to the other end and brag that she now has a longer sheet.

Daylight Saving Time is a misnomer. It should be called Darkness Delaying Time. On March 9, 2021, Senator Marco Rubo introduced Senate Bill 623, the Sunshine Protection Act, which would make Daylight Saving Time permanent. The bill was referred to the Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation – and a year later, no further action has been taken. I wants that bill passed and I wants it passed now!

We've discussed this before, but I'm a fan of switching between DST and regular time. If you live up north, the daylight extremes make this desirable.

I find myself in agreement with the caveat that if we do not switch, we be on DST year around. Standard time is depressing in the evening.

I reset all of my watches except the one I wore out last night yesterday afternoon.
It's a pain in the arse, and it does mess with me for a few days after the change now. It didn't really used to, but I'm becoming less resilient as I get older.

My watch did it automatically. Its the 50 manual clocks which needed changing. Still have to do the car which for some stupid reason has 2 places to do it. There is the settings so the GPS knows what time to show your arrival time and the manual clock. Why does the manual clock not just get the time from the GPS? Probably cost 5 cents extra to run the wire so costs were cut to maintain profits.

Most days I don't wear a watch now. But when I do, it's one of 2 automatics, so it's just like any other day.

We have a few clocks around the house to do, and the car. But all the car clock displays are synced to one another.

I propose a simple solution – and you all know I'm not the simple-solution-proposer I used to be. On November 6 when Daylight Saving Time ends, we can turn the clocks back a half-hour instead of an hour and then no more time changes, ever.

I've always thought that's the way to go..

Then everybody would be 1/2 hour off to the crazies Saskatchewan and Arizona.

If we have to go through this again, at least let me get the full extra hour of sleep.
We can pick up the half hour next spring.
