I'm listening to SFR(why I have no idea) and their all spinning how good it is the show is only 3 days now. I swear I would love to puch, Mutt, Jason and the rest of those assholes. They won't take any calls on this subject.

What are they gonna say? We know Mutt has to kiss ass but it's gotten to the point where you question anything on the show and they call you a hater. I don't care if they go three days a week or zero with the amount of time I listen to anymore but Howard should have energy and he doesn't. If he put energy into the show it would be more listenable.

Can anyone tell me any memorable moments from this week?

The only thing I can think of is when Howard was yelling at Scott Depace about his right wing views.
I'm a HUGE Doug Stanhope fan and was dissappointed with that interview. But I'm going to see him in Toronto July 9th :)

"No more bullshit" was a bunch of bullshit. I would have more respect for Howard if he allowed people to say that a 3-day workweek is a bunch of crap. Then they could have an honest discussion about it even if it didn't change his mind.

But for all the crap about censorship and the 1st amendment over the years, Howard loves to censor dissent.

The answer to everything Stern related comes down to: Howard lies. The end.

He lied about his schedule, his channels, the talent, the merger, and pretty much everything else he talks about.

It's no longer even a comedy show. It's a commentary show based on getting products sold, HTV pushed, and friends of Beth or Buchwald clients' shit projects promoted.

That Doug and Bingo interview was absolute torture. I could care less whether or not Bingo got drunk and screwed a busdriver or that Doug can't it up... Howard's probing was embarassing..Nothing funny, nothing titillating . And of course yesterday that old bit with the woman who did sexual groaning to music was even worse... I assume those two bits will play all weekend....

whats the point of interviewing stanhope? every time they bring him in, they just talk to his girlfriend bingo.

btw, the only funny thing I heard this week on stern was the new phony phone call where they use seth rogan and maria menunous voice.

I heard this last night and couldn't believe what shills the fans were. When the guy said he loves when howard takes time off because it also gives HIM time off from the show I was disgusted. If listening to howard is so much work that you need a break...you need to reevaluate what you're doing with your life.

You said it yourself.....they probably weren't fans - they were shills.

Long gone are open phone lines at the Stern show. Every aspect of the show seems scripted and censored. Who in their right mind would actually be grateful to get less of a show they pay for? :)

Howard's pathetic.

I only listened when there was the slight possibility something interesting might be addressed, such as Bubba's contract, etc. More often than not I was let down.

The Bubba version with HeatherWiz, Ned's Testicles, and the others was a great SMRT. (Super Mizzark Riizzound Tizzable.)

Its funny, I'm listening to Stern Show Shuffel from 2001 and Jon Hein is in and a some guy calls in and says 'The show sucks now howard, you're to cheap to pay, Billy, Jackie and John, its terrible. You boring jew you don't even try"

I'm not saying the show hasn't gone downhill lately but I think part of the reason Howard doesn't give a shit about what people say is that he's been hearing it for decades.

Howard is reminded time and again about his popularity by things like Letterman ratings and the sales of his Rolling Stone issue. Also, he is he most critical person in the nations when it comes to TV shows and anything else. My theory is that he has become such a diva, he cannot take the slightest criticism nor any cut in pay and I think that is what this three day thing comes from...

You hit it right on the head!! He went off on that guy that called in about the commercials. Howard couldn't take it. Thats why he only picks up on ass kissing callers. By the way that guy was right. Those commercials are too much. Why are we pay a subscription fee again? Thats what he said too.
