I go to channel 124 occasionally, whenever I'm not listening to Howard, Mad Dog, or Rivals Radio. Honestly, I find the personalities on that channel more annoying than anything. Shannon Sharpe is not easy to listen to, I don't like Solomon Wilcots too much, and you're right about Adam Schein, I can't stand him...he lays it on thick with that fake radio voice..."NFL RadiOOOOoooohhhh".

Movin the Chains with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan is the best show. They know football and they don't talk down to the callers.

That's on during the afternoon, right? I'm usually listening to Mad Dog at that time. But I'll give the show a shot sometime this week after hearing your praise for it.
 
I don't mind Schein so much, especially on Sunday mornings. I will check out the afternoon show, but I'm usually listening to Mad Dog at that time...
 
I actually hate Jim Rome's guts but I really do respect him. He is incredibly opinionated and it pisses me off how he berates his guests but he's hilarious

I do like the NFL channel plus the play by play. ESPN News on XM is also a great source on game days.

Totally agree about Movin' the Chains. I plan my day around listening or recording their program and listen to it the next morning instead of Schein. Riggo doesn't embarrass himself on the Blitz, but I can't mute motor mouth. I also give time to Total Access a few times a week. I also like Press Coverage (with Vic Carucci and Dan Leberfeld) Saturday's since it replays the best interviews of the week and summarizes the M-F highlights.

I'm still trying to get into Mad Gog. He's got some good points, interesting callers, but talks a lot about baseball. I'm taking him in small doses til I either like him or not.
 
I am filling in at work for an employee vacation today. This is the first time I have listened to SIRIUS NFL RADIO for an extended period of time on a Sunday. I like ESPN NEWS but NFL Radio also has very good game day coverage.
 
I hope XM does the Home and AWAY broadcasts during the NFL post season.

EDIT: Also, is anyone having problems getting the complete score of an NFL game you are listening to on your XM receiver? I recorded the Steelers game today and the MyFi only showed the first digit of the Tenn. points. (Thank goodness :o )

Jim Rome is a complete jerk who thinks he's better than you or anybody else. He reminds me so much of Colin Cowherd on ESPN radio. I'm glad that former Rams QB Everett kicked Jim's ass that time! Satellite radio does not need him.
 
I am enjoying NFL Radio this morning. A caller brought up a great point. Why in the "heck" is Derrick Thomas not in the NFL HALL OF FAME? :eek:

Thomas was perhaps most well known for his ability to sack the quarterback and was named an All-Pro 8 times and was voted to 9 Pro Bowls. (in 10 seasons!)
 
That's actually a really legit question. Reggie White was recently posthumously inducted into the hall of fame which is really the ONLY reason I could see why Derrick Thomas was not inducted in his first year of eligibility. Thomas was an awesome player but never played for a real powerhouse winning Chief's team. Perhaps this is the case? I don't understand it. The dude had 7 sacks in a game and could have had more if they didn't pull him from the game in the 3rd or 4th quarter. Unbelievable.
 
I just read an article on nfl.com regarding the top 10 players who SHOULD but HAVE NOT been inducted into the hall of fame. DT is number 2. out of 10 unbelievable players

Haley has the distinction of being the only player in NFL history to have been on five Super Bowl-winning teams. To date, no other player has surpassed this achievement. Playing for the San Francisco 49ers from 1986–1991, he won a ring from Super Bowl XXIII and XXIV following the 1988 and 1989 seasons, respectively. After having a falling out with then 49ers head coach George Seifert and a physical confrontation with then quarterback Steve Young, he was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in the 1992 off-season.
