Everyone, with the exception of news reporters, uses the words "many" and "several." News reporters prefer to say "multiple." I know not why.

The video of the truck flying past the stopped cars is crazy.

Rogel Aguilera-Mederos said his "brakes failed." Maybe they did – but I'm highly skeptical of anyone who blames a crash on brake failure. How often do brakes simply "fail"? And, in retrospect, we can say closing his eyes while driving 85 mph was not really a smart thing for Rogel to do.

On my way to Disney this week I saw a pickup on the side of the road with a cop, it had been towing a boat...not a huge boat, but a good sized one, that had tipped over and was all sorts of damaged. I'm sure it was a major bummer for the owner but it was neat to see.

That's westbound on I-70, a few miles west of the Eisenhower Tunnels.
I've never seen a truck get that far up an emergency truck ramp.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say "the transmission".
Back in '96 or so, the (not yet) Mrs. and I caught a fortuitous day, where they allowed motorcycles to go up the Mt. Washington Auto road (elevation 6,400 ft). We went up in this
which wasn't exactly an all-purpose vehicle.
The road looks like this.
You'll notice a few things:
- It turns into a gravel & dirt road;
- It's always fogged-in (causing dangerous conditions).
The whole way up, I just kept praying (to myself) that the clutch didn't burn out, whereby we'd roll backwards to our deaths. But coming down was awesome - I just kept it in 2nd gear; no throttle, no brake. All the cars had to keep pulling over because of brake overheating.
That's a cool ride.
I love driving in fog, but that may keep me on my toes.
