That's gotta be your worst nightmare Semi...but then again, I imagine you have more awareness than that driver.

It was a FedEx truck right? Sucks people are dead, but the rest may find themselves in a Tracy Morgan situation now.

Holy crap those are crazy. Especially to guy going over the overpass. That was a hell of a drop. It’s amazing that he’s alive at all.
I wouldn’t thing the Fed Ex pile-up would be the same as the Tracy Morgan deal. There may be some money that changes hands, but not to the same scale. There’s still responsibility to drive safely in bad weather, but it’s not like the driver broke the rules by driving too many hours and falling asleep at the wheel.

That fedex truck was going way too fast. Did they see what was up ahead?

I hope they were empty. An empty truck and dry van trailer weighs around 32500lbs. They can weigh up to 80000lbs fully loaded.

All highways have those overhead warning signs. Usually they have some stupid message like drive safe or stay home. One would wonder if they could have put something on it like "massive crash up ahead -- get off roadway" or something. Also how long does it take to close a road? Obviously more than 100 cars.

Most do.

It's a matter of whether or not people are paying attention or taking it seriously.

For how quickly he stopped, I'd think he wasn't hauling much weight.
