I like the lyrics and vibe of "Heroes" but don't find myself generally drawn toward it.

Love "Allentown" (on my 500+) and "Pressure". Two different Joel songs are on my 333. The guy's a legend.

"Rock Lobster" is on my list of least favorite songs, and in the top 20 too. Everyone has a handful of songs that just go right through them - that's one of mine. But I do like "Channel Z", "Roam" and (even though I don't intentionally listen to it anymore because it's been overplayed beyond death) "Love Shack". By the way that's a "least favorite songs: pre-2010" list... there are so many garbage songs from the last ten years, I had to make a separate list!!

One step forward, two steps back. I just about got to 1980, but I left a bunch of stuff behind.

Paul McCartney & Wings - What can you say? He's simply one of the greatest songwriters and performers ever. Here are some of their hits:
Live and Let Die, Jet, Let Me Roll It, Band On the Run, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five, Listen to What the Man Said, Silly Love Songs, Let 'Em In. And these two

Paul McCartney & Wings – Junior’s Farm (live in studio)

And one of the greatest songs ever written
Paul McCartney & Wings – Maybe I’m Amazed (live)

Speaking of the greatest, the greatest live recording ever
Peter Frampton – Do You Feel Like We Do (live, not actual video)

And the only 3-time inductee into the RRHOF, his post-Cream work includes Layla, After Midnight, Cocaine, and this

Performing with the guy who sounds like he wrote the song
Eric Clapton – Lay Down Sally (live with Mark Knopfler)

Excuse me.....That's SIR Paul to you.

Paul is indeed one of the best songwriters to grace this miserable planet.
I'm glad I got to see him in concert.

That whole album is off the charts. Meatloaf is an inigma. He has 2 off the charts great albums (both with Jim Stienman) and a whole array of mediocre other material. But when he hit gold he hit it off the charts.

When I was looking for live versions of this song, I discovered that he pretty much lost his voice.

More great 70's rock

Joe Walsh – Rocky Mountain Way (live)

By the time Joe put out this next one, he was completely zonked in all his live performances. So here's a newer rendition, just pardon the excessive auto-tune (both Joe and Daryl)
Joe Walsh – Life’s Been Good (live from Daryl’s house)

We saw him a couple of years ago and he was disappointing. Still good but not great. He also has a tonne of health issues (which may have affected his voice). He has curfews on all his concerts and has collapsed mid show on many occasions. From what I have read this is largely not his fault (although he probably could lose a few pounds). I am glad we got a chance to see him when we did. Not sure I would go again.

They did Life's Been Good and the Eagles concert we saw in 2018 and it was fabulous. Pretty close to the recording and watching Joe work that guitar was awesome.

Can't leave out Early Robert Palmer. From his 1st release, here's the finale part of the 3-parter Sailing Shoes/ Hey Julia/ Sneakin' Sally

Robert Palmer – Sneaking Sally Through the Alley (live)

He had a ton of hits, including Every Kinda People, Bad Case of Loving You, and these two

Robert Palmer – Looking For Clues (live)

Robert Palmer – Johnny & Mary

Of course, he went on to score big well into the 80's too.

I only have one Robert Palmer song on my 500+ list "Every Kinda People". Must be an oversight. Hmm....

I know you're on 70s, but if I don't mention it now I may forget. One of my fav Robert Palmer songs is one I never hear... "Life In Detail" from the Pretty Woman Soundtrack.

I used to play the hell out of my But Seriously, Folks album when I was a kid. There's some memories.

If you renumber does that mean you have to start the 333 again?
