Even though this is the NHL section. This league is still hockey and thought this thread can go in here.

Originally the National Women's Hockey League was established in 2015 - 2021, then rebranded to Premier Hockey Federation. Then in 2024 it was purchased and closed the old league as a new league was created as the Professional Women's Hockey League.

Now the PWHL has recently grown to 12 teams.

I'm not following the league much, I'll totally support the women.

If hockey was still in Phoenix, maybe a team could established here some day.

The lady Sun Devils of ASU have won some conference championship in the past 3 years.

It's been well attended in Toronto. I have not really attended much as it is almost as expensive as the Leafs and the girls don't fight as much. While I do like some hockey between fights, having a good hard check or a fight does add some excitement which I find lacking in PWHL.
