Nope, not a chop. It's an actual pic of the billboard. Pregame they had a thing that said "text shout to #####" to have your message posted here. So I did, and posted that message. I took like 4 or 5 pics of it, that's just the best one.
If that's Yankee Stadium (looks like it is)...then that's very un-Yankee like for them to do that for free. I'm a Yankee fan, and I have no problem admitting that.

I think that is called "the facade". It's a throwback to the original Yankee Stadium. When they renovated the stadium, it came down, and they put a replica over the outfield wall. In the new stadium, they put a replica around the whole grandstand. Sort of cool looking, right?

Down here in Virginny we call it a fay-caid-eee. I think it's French.
Did some digging around (google) and learned that it's called a "frieze".

The roof of the new facility features a replica of the frieze that was a trademark of the previous ballpark.[24] In the original Yankee Stadium, a copper frieze originally lined the roof of the upper deck stands, but it was torn down during the 1974–75 renovations and replicated atop the wall beyond the bleachers.[24] The new stadium replicates the frieze in its original location along the upper deck stands.[24] Made of steel coated with zinc for rust protection, it is part of the support system for the cantilevers holding up the top deck and the lighting on the roof."
It may not be in ones best interest to correct someone from the Bronx in the technical name of the "thing that holds the lights up", especially if you are wearing a Red Sox hat.
