The only way politics could get more local than this is if they was happening inside my condo:

This is interesting. I like Susan and voted for her. I also see those Investments Limited signs all over the pace down here. What's black and yellow and all over? An Investments Limited sign.

The only even anecdotal facts I know about this is that lst year when I was doing community service the husband of the woman I worked for went on this long rant about Susan and Investments Limited and how it was all a big scheme. I guess he was right.

Doesn't seem like she committed the worst offences in the world but I guess her non-disclosed ties and her votes were enough to get her arrested. This will be a fun case to watch and I'm sure the local TV and papers will have a field day with it.
 
Look at that, 100 pages. To think Wolf started this thread to announce a different forum to talk politics when it was being phased out of DRC.

If we were able to make it through the Trump election without this thread getting locked I think we can probably make it through anything.

I find this very fascinating. First off Trump could just mute people. He uses Twitter all the time so I assume he knows what the mute button is but I think that's too much of a passive move for him. He wants people to know he dropped the ban hammer. Second, people who cry about being blocked are dorks. Just get a second Twitter account. Third, this will be appealed right? So he doesn't have to unblock anyone yet, right? Fourth, the whole thing is weird to me. He uses his personal account not @POTUS. Isn't he still a regular citizen entitled to the same rights as everyone else? Fifth, how big does Twitter have to get before it blurs the line between private company and utility? If the president can't ban people when will the lawsuits come that go after Twitter's free speech policies? I get those are two very separate issues but the one makes me think about the other.
