I totally agree with your first negative point. I have no other huge minsues other than that but it is such a big one since the Strobe was my favorite music channel and while Backspin on on my "C" settings, it was often great when I did listen to it!
Last I checked, XM abandoned 20 on 20's format and slowly started adapting it into a "The 2000s" channel that it was kind of needing (KISS wasn't working.) Did they give up on that?
I'm glad a lot of XM channels were kept but due to the number of PD changes over the years and the loss of people like Lee Abrams I know they're probably not as creative. Did Sirius inherit XM's facilities? Last time I participated on these boards, Sirius had to pre-record a lot of DJ shifts because they didn't have all the live studios that XM did. Back in the early days, XM's HQ in DC was quite a happening place.
Heck, I'm so old, I remember Kane on The 90s. When he left to go work in obscurity for WFLZ, I knew things were slowly heading downhill.
I just don't understand why Disorder was removed. There is clearly no equivolent channel. The Loft is very different focusing on singer songwriters, mostly folk and rock. There is no freeform station at this point.
