There are now more than 30 movie posters on Facebook. All are remakes or sequels, e.g. Shrek, Tangled, Brave, Popeye (with Dwayne Johnson!), Frozen 3, Frozen 4, Home Alone 2, Christmas With The Kranks 2. All are created with AI. All are fake. Many have misspellings, e.g. MonsterInc 2, A Charhae Brown Christmas, The Three Cabaleros. One is titled Disney's Ice Age – and Ice Age is 20th Century, not Disney. One poster of a "new" Charlie Brown Christmas includes two Snoopys and three Lucys in the background! Most of the fake posters have "2025" in parentheses at the bottom.

The majority of the comments are from gullible schmucks who say they're looking forward to the movie or gullible schmucks who say they like the original movie and it doesn't need a remake or sequel. Only a few people say the posters are fake and created with AI.

"No one has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people," wrote H.L. Mencken in 1926. He was referring to the appeal of tabloid newspapers and magazines. I wonder what he would say about the intelligence of the "great masses" who believe fake AI-created movie posters are real.
 
I would bet that the majority of people that see those things barely glance at them before commenting. It’s more about lazy people with short (scrolling) attention span tendencies.

Granted, there are a LOT of genuinely stoopid people out there…..A lot of them….
 
Today I saw a fake AI-created poster for a new Golden Girls series supposedly coming to Disney+ and a fake AI-created poster for a Three Men & A Baby sequel titled Three Granddads & A Baby. Most of the fake posters are created by a schmuck – whom I will not identify – who brags that his Facebook page is "100% satire and fake news." And many thousands of those "genuinely stoopid people" think the posters are real!
 
Another fake AI-created movie poster on Facebook proclaims, "ELF 2. Christmas 2025. Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart. He's back – and this time he brought the family."

Ferrell is 58, Caan is 82 – and Newhart died in 2024 at age 94.

It's not AI's fault but AI is trained to agree so it kinda agreed with his delusions that his mom was a Chinese spy. And the killer used to be a smart guy. He had some big deal job at Yahoo.

I watched couple of AI movies recently, Afraid and the TV show Black Mirror has some.

TIRANA — Albania has become the first country in the world to have an AI minister — not a minister for AI, but a virtual minister made of pixels and code and powered by artificial intelligence.

Her name is Diella, meaning sunshine in Albanian, and she will be responsible for all public procurement, Prime Minister Edi Rama said Thursday.

During the summer, Rama mused that one day the country could have a digital minister and even an AI prime minister, but few thought that day would come around so quickly.

At the Socialist Party assembly in Tirana on Thursday, where Rama announced which ministers would get the chop and which would stay on for another mandate, he also introduced Diella, the only non-human member of the government.

“Diella is the first member not physically present, but virtually created by artificial intelligence,” he told party members.

Rama stated that decisions on tenders would be taken “out of the ministries” and placed in the hands of Diella, who is “the servant of public procurement.” He said the process will be “step-by-step,” but Albania will be a country where public tenders are “100 percent incorruptible and where every public fund that goes through the tender procedure is 100 percent legible.”

“This is not science fiction, but the duty of Diella,” he said.
