How about this story! After just being traded from the Angels, Scott doesn't make it to the game until 5 minutes before 1st pitch. Fredi has no intention of using him, but due to a high scoring game and many pitchers being used, he puts him in the 9th inning- bases loaded, game tied and Todd Helton at bat. 1 pitch, Todd lines out to Downs to end the inning and the threat. He also pitched a scoreless 10th to get a WIN in his first NL game!

They seriously need to update that. "Uncle Percy" died in April.

Still no Eddie Trunk, but this was my 2nd most requested show. By far, my favorite personality on XM, Sirius or SiriusXM who's been on since Day 1 in 2001 on my favorite channel. Now playing On Demand!!

Deep Tracks
Earle Bailey Show

Earle Bailey produced and hosted "Rock 'n' Roll Roots" featuring artists and songs banished from "classic rock" formats. Now it's the music you can hear on Deep Tracks every day.

Highlights from Monday:

> Selections from the vast recorded catalogue of singer/guitarist Mark Knopfler on his 64th birthday. Listen for Knopfler with and without Dire Straits every hour

> Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull remembers his first paid gig, and Mick Fleetwood talks about also managing Fleetwood Mac

> A 23 minute jam on an old Mac song from the Boston Fleet Center back in ’03

> A six track set Undercover including the likes Led Zeppelin interpreted by the British Rock Symphony

Tuesday's show:

> An 18 minute long song from Poco with the great guitar of Jim Messina

> A 6 track set Live at SiriusXM including acoustic Heart and electric Stephen Stills

> A couple from Joan Baez Live at SiriusXM covering the Band and Bob Dylan

> Two tracks by Jefferson Airplane from '68 at the Matrix club in San Francisco

> A 6 track set Undercover including great guitar by Joe Bonamassa doing Jethro Tull

Wed Show:

We make note of two birthdays with lots of notes by the artists. The lively and good time keyboard player 63 year old Terry Adams of NRBQ. And David Crosby who is 72 today. Listen for Crosby from his solo albums, with Nash, with Stills and Nash, with Stills, Nash and Young, and with CPR. Copious amounts of David Crosby every hour.

Boundaries

Boundaries - a one-hour exploration of Alternative Classical, or Classical Crossover music, hosted by Paul Bachmann

Paul takes you on a tour of artists you might know from other channels…like the London Philharmonic playing a tune you’d recognize immediately on SiriusXM’s Pink Floyd channel; or Dave Brubeck plucked from Real Jazz and reinterpreted for string quartet; or even the EDM world of SXM’s Electric Area with William Orbit’s take on Saint-Saens…yet, it’s all classical at its core (and best of all, fun!).

SiriusXM is sad to announce the passing of BLUE OYSTER CULT Founding Member Allen Lanier.

Lanier -- who used to date, live and write songs with Patti Smith -- wrote several B.O.C. songs, including "True Confessions," "Tenderloin," "Searchin' for Celine," "In Thee" and "Lonely Teardrops."

A post on the band's website says, "He is survived by his wife Dory, sister Mary Anne and mother Martha. Although he retired from touring in 2006, Allen returned to the stage for what turned out to be his final appearance, reuniting with BӦC at the 40th Anniversary show in New York this past November. Don't fear the reaper sweet man. We love you and miss you."

B.O.C. singer/guitarist Eric Bloomsaid in a statement, "My great friend Allen Lanier has passed. I'll miss the guy even though we hadn't spoken in awhile. He was so talented as a musician and a thinker. He read voraciously, all kinds of things, especially comparative religion. We drove for years together, shared rooms in the early days. We partied, laughed, played. All B.O.C. fans and band members will mourn his death. Ultimately smoking finally got to him. He had been hospitalized with C.O.P.D. It was Allen who heard some old college band tapes of mine and suggested I get a shot as the singer in 1968. A lot of great memories, over 40 years worth. Maybe he's playing a tune with [with his friend, poet/rocker] Jim Carroll right now."

B.O.C. played in France Tuesday night and their next show is in Boston on Saturday.

Allen Lanier, died Wednesday from complications due to C.O.P.D. (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). He was 66.

Looks like they're doing a huge update to the On Demand Catalog- adding a bunch of previously aired shows

Some awesome stuff from Deep Tracks you probably missed:

Earle Bailey Show

Up top, a couple featuring great guitar from Jim Messina. We’ll go “Undercover†for a 6 track set featuring Great Caesar’s Ghost covering the Allman Brothers, and The Allmans covering The Band. Also acoustic covers of The Stones and Aerosmith. A good amount of “Headphone†music including The Moody Blues and Genesis. Two “Beatlesque†numbers from Todd Rundgren and also Klaatu. And in The Black Light Room we’ll see what condition our condition is in with The First Edition on Kenny Rogers birthday. That’s right. Kenny Rogers.
Duration: 06:01:16 | Expires in 6 Days | Aired 8/21 12:00PM EST

Serving several sets exploring the career of Robert Plant on his 65th birthday. With and without Led Zeppelin including a trio of tuneage Plant did in the SiriusXM Performance Theater. Also several from the extraordinary trombone of Jimmy Pankow with Chicago on his 66th birthday. We’ll play what we used to call a perfect album side. It’s “Thick As A Brick PT. 1â€. And Ian Anderson draws a connection between Heavy Metal Rock and the mainly acoustic musical meanderings of Jethro Tull. Oh, and my favorite records by Gregg Allman and by Buzzy Lindhardt.
Duration: 05:59:09 | Expires in 5 Days | Aired 8/20 12:00PM EST

Drummer extraordinaire Ginger Baker will be on several times for his 74th birthday. Copious amounts of Cream, Blind Faith, and Ginger Baker’s Air Force. Also, several sets with Deep Purple for Ian Gillans’s 68th today. Gillan also tells us the difference between Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. And in the first hour a triplet of tuneage “Live at SiriusXM†featuring acoustic Yes, Batdorf & Rodney, and Dave Mason.
Duration: 05:54:010 | Expires in 4 Days | Aired 8/19 12:00PM EST

I'm hoping they put "Cover Me" from E Street Radio OnDemand. Right now, I can only listen to it if it was played in the past 5 hours.
