New Bubba Box Set

Price is $399.
It's 40 discs. 4 discs of Clemulus project plus Super K5. Holiday double disc, single political disc, brent hatley disc, strip ship dvd, and whatever the hell else Bubba took 3 seconds to breeze through because we all know it anyway.

$399 (plus shipping, i'm assuming) isn't all that bad.

Heh - I heard that yesterday. He was tearing through it like crazy. $399 is a bit stiff for me, but definitely better than I expected.

Do you think if Bubba or Ellis or Ferrall got more money from SIRIUS they would gladly give up merch sales?

im not sure. I dont listen to ferrall much, and only occaisonal with ellis. but it seems they are being paid "dog piss willy".

on another note, I was using on-demand the other day, and came across a man caves episode with scott ferrall. I wonder why they never promoted it. They showed his wife and kids and everything.

People who hawk merch will always hawk merch, in good times and bad, methinks. If anything, in good times, it's easier to offer more options because you can afford to front the costs of making/printing the items. Heck, I personally don't mind buying merch, either, so I actually like people who sell it. (Proud McGillicutty tee owner).

El Rushbo and Bill O'Reilly have sold merch during times I am sure they each probably made more than Ellis and Bubba combined.

On today's show, someone called in and said their cousin sexually abused him when they were kids. The guy was 8 or 9 or so, and the cousin was about 12.

Bubba said something about "you don't have a hair on your ass if you don't call this guy out at your upcoming family reunion. Name your price and you can send me the tape and i'll play it on the air."

The guy wanted a golden ticket and was put on hold. If the golden tickets were randomly assorted, I wonder if it'll be the five golden tickets AND this guy, or will they somehow find a bubbawonka with a golden ticket?

Maybe he just got a box set. Doesn't mean he got a ticket.

Very true.

I'm going to waaaaaaay overthink this next bit, so be advised.

According to what I've learned about this, you get a meet & greet with the cast of the BRN and get to drop in on a live broadcast.

It's common knowledge that whenever a guest comes in the studio, Ned disappears. (Manson seems not to talk as much, but then again, he doesn't seem to do a lot of talking as it is.)

There are photos of Ned in the BRN studio. We all know what happened at the Film Fest.

I wonder how they'll handle this. Yes, I listen purely for the entertainment, but I have my own opinion of the Ned situation. Some of the stuff Ned has said could be potentially illegal. (Stuff about chickens, anyone? If 25 said that, if a regular guest said that, or if anyone on Howard's show said that stuff, they'd probably get a delay button hit.)

My guesses, in no particular order:
1) Ned will be out sick that day.
2) Ned will do his regular "I gotta run" routine.
3) They'll have real Ned in there, and the voice won't be the same (as in Film Fest.)
4) They'll bring the winners in, someone and Ned will be out of the studio and you can probably figure out the rest. A few minutes later, they'll come walking in. Ned will still be absent.

Ned rocks. Really, I swear he does. But he's been missing a LOT of good guests throughout the years. I can totally see where the conspiracy theorists come from.

Ned is a work. "Real Ned" does Ned when they need to have a body/photo/whatever that they can't pull off with Manson.

IMO 2 things could happen:

1) Kayfabe - the visitors will get a quick lesson in it, and just play along.
2) Ned shows up, but the studio is so fecking dark that none of the visitors will get a good look at who is really saying what.

Yeah, that's basically my thought on it. The voice of "Ned" is a parody, along the same lines as the "Manson Ferret" or "Brent Bubba."

It would be very possible that Ned would be there, in studio, but the lights would be darker than normal.

I think Chob is right though.

Brent Meltdown CD added, according to Twitter.

41 CDs in total.

At 3:23 PM ET in the Sirius version of the FM show, Bubba said that disc 41 is "one that won't even be part of the packaging, because it was thrown in, last minute."

Does Bubba mean the Brent Meltdown CD, or is this kayfabe 42 jones?

I don't remember him saying the meltdown was on there. :clueless:

I hope he has some to give away on the website and some lucky people (preferably K5 owners) get a chance to win one.
