NBA 2025-26 season

Congrats to the Knicks on winning the NBA Championship.

Last time they won the trophy was back in 1973. A well over 50+ year drought.
 
Only seven players have played 20 or more seasons in the NBA. Chris Paul, Kevin Garnett, Kevin Willis, Robert Parish and Dirk Nowitzki played 21 seasons; Vince Carter played 22 seasons; and next season will be LeBron James' 24th!
 
I thought Chris Paul was pretty good with the Rockets until he suffered significant knee and hamstring injuries. After that, he bounced from team to team. He wasn't very effective during his time in Phoenix, and the team eventually let him go. They're still paying off part of his contract. :laugh:

Jeanie Buss, a daughter of Lakers majority owner Jerry Buss, became executive vice president of Lakers business operations in 1999. After Jerry died in 2013, his 66% controlling ownership of the Lakers passed to his six children and Jeanie became team president. On August 17, 2026, five of the siblings voted to sell their remaining 17.8% stake to Bob Iger and Joshua Kushner – and the sixth sibling, Jeanie, is not happy.
