Music News

One Saturday many years ago at the ol' post office, a co-worker was playing a CD. It was some of the worst garbage I've ever heard. I asked her what she was playing. "You know what this is," she told me. "No I don't," I said. "I've never heard it before." It was Dark Side Of The Moon. I hadn't heard it because I seldom listened to album rock stations. And now Roger Waters has re-recorded the album? I echo Mister scotch's comment: "No thanks."

You're echoing my comment for the wrong reason. Dark Side of the Moon is one of the greatest albums ever made, and its sales back that up. But I'm not interested in having it "remade" by a now-old solo member with the words changed and everything different.

In hating Pink Floyd, I am in a minority. I know that. De gustibus non est disputandum. In The Krusty Book, published in 2006, we learned that Krusty the Clown recorded an album titled Dark Side Of The Moonpie. I haven't heard it but almost anything (other than rap) would be better than Dark Side Of The Moon. Krusty's full name is Herschel Schmoeckel Pinchas Yerucham Krustofsky. "Hey, hey!"

Dark Side of the Moonpie

Dark Side of the Moonpie is an album by Krusty in "The Lost Albums of Krusty the Clown!". The album featured covers of "Puppy Love" and "My Ding-a-Ling".

God knows that every person on DRC dislikes things that others love. I don't care for Marx Brothers movies, 3 Stooges, or most Disney movies. I also dislike most "upbeat" songs. But I refrain from shitting on them, because there's no point in criticizing personal taste. It just pisses people off.

Or people that say they don't like something and that automatically makes them the harbinger of all that is good and holy in the world just based on an opinion. Not naming names (and no Scotch, I don't mean you.)

That's why I refrain from bashing on Nickelback too bad because they have some good songs, and some stuff from their newest release isn't bad at all.

Also why I've quit joining in the 'I hate Apple' arguments, simply because it's a product I like because of continued use over the years. Someone else doesn't like it, up to them.

I personally don't like Bro Country, any of the new Country Rap, or the new pop music that gets played on the radio nowadays. But even from that last category I found a few favorites (Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Adele, Bruno Mars, others I've listed previously) so I can't say there's an intense dislike there either. Personally if something someone else likes is something I don't, I just use the title of my favorite Yes song, "Leave it."

You and I both learned this one the hard way back in the day lol (or actually, *awkward chuckle that disintegrates into clearing my throat*). Gotta say, I'm better for it though. I am much better with my expression of dislike in general (not just here). Much more mature about it.

I heard the latest single the Stones with Lady Gaga on Apple Music the other day on the way home. Actually not bad!

They have been playing "Angry" in heavy rotation on Classic Rewind (having forgotten the definition of the station). Its not that bad but I am not interested in new music from the Rolling Stones.

God damn. I thought I heard that too, but then I thought, "nah, they play a thousand artists who have recent releases; they can't possibly just be breaking that rule for the first time now. That would make no sense."

And of course, if you want to hear the new Stones song, they played it nearly 150 times last month on The Spectrum, the channel that's there to play new AC music.

The suit says the image violated federal laws on child sexual abuse material

So did his mother ever take a photo of him the bathtub and show her family and friends later (like has happened to all of us at one point). Should be all be suing our parents for 'child sexual abuse'? There's nothing sexual about that photo (unless there's something really wrong with you). Case dismissed.
