Okay I had to look it up. I knew I wasn't crazy. I never really dug the montel Williams show back then. I liked Donahue and Ricky lake. Who was the old lady with the giant square glasses? I kind of liked her too but I mean I don't even remember her name so I couldn't have liked her that much.

When did Chris Cuomo get cool? And what the hell is News Nation? I don't know. It looks like a news channel and they have Cuomo. He's a big name so it must be something. I think I've heard of it before but I might be confusing it with newsmax and I think that one's super Republican. Whatever I don't know.
Anyway, I just remember Cuomo as that dude on CNN that I didn't like because I thought all of his hot takes were wrong basically. But I just watched a clip of him on News Nation and he was making a lot of sense. So then I watched some other random clip of him and I agreed with that one too so I don't know. I guess I like Chris Cuomo now.
Didn't he get fired from CNN for trying to help his brother get out of some Me too shit or something like that? I mean can't really blame him for that, he wasn't the one doing the bad shit. He was just being a good brother.

Cuomo was fired by CNN after reports that he assisted in the defense against the sexual harassment allegations that led to his brother's resignation. He subsequently joined Nexstar Media Group, hosting Cuomo for NewsNation.
I'm specifically not mentioning the topics Cuomo was talking about because I don't want to make this political but the fact that I have now watched three clips all about 10 minutes of him from news Nation and I agree with all of them makes me think one of two things. And the second one is kind of disturbing but maybe it's obvious I don't know.
First off, maybe Cuomo has just had a shift in his ideological thinking, or maybe he has decided to try to appeal to a wider audience now that he is on a more niche news outlet.
Second, maybe CNN directed him to have the opinions he had that I disagreed with while he was on that Network. I mean that doesn't seem like a crazy conspiracy theory, right? The bosses at CNN would tell him like hey talk about this and talk about why we don't like it.
I certainly don't know if either one of my two theories here hold any water but what I do know is I watched plenty of Cuomo clips when he was on CNN and I almost 100% of the time disagreed with him. And now just from yesterday into today I've watched about half an hour of him and I've basically 100% agreed with him. So something has changed. Maybe I've changed but I don't really think I've changed that much.
This seems to happen sometimes. Chris Wallace was a longtime Fox guy, but he's now with CNN, and not as the token conservative. And then you have people who decide to take a right turn, like Dennis Miller.
But as far as Cuomo, I didn't watch him much on CNN, but occasionally I caught the beginning of his show, and he had this righteous indignation thing dialed up to Keith Olbermann level. I'd be very surprised to find that it was scripted, especially since he comes from a family with a long democratic history.

But yeah he would act like he was on the verge of tears like he was fighting to end slavery in the South when in reality all he was talking about was like how the Secretary of housing and Urban development should only have five interns instead of seven. Or you know some inconsequential shit like that. Or maybe not inconsequential but like not of dire import to the health of the entire nation.
In the news Nation clips I've watched he hasn't done any of that. He's been incredibly level-headed, explained both sides without being condescending and then argued his point.
