“I want all of you kids to remember if the police capture you or anyone in a position of authority ask you questions, your response, no matter what, is ‘I do not recall, I need an attorney. I do not recall, I need an attorney.’ Ninety percent of people are in prison because they can’t keep their goddamn mouths shut. Never, ever snitch on yourself.”

These people don’t care. They just flat out lie because there’s no penalty for it. They know that it’s all for show and is a meaningless distraction.

This blindly loyal Trump supporter was the first rioter to plead guilty to a charge of assault and his prison sentence is the lengthiest one imposed – so far.

Axios today released audio of Donald Trump speaking with Jonathan Karl of ABC News. The transcript of the interview is included in Karl's book Betrayal: The Final Act Of The Trump Show, which will go on sale November 16. Trump defended the actions of his blindly loyal supporters who took part in the Capitol riot and wanted to hang Mike Pence. Trump said, "If you know a vote is fraudulent, how can you pass on a fraudulent vote to Congress?" Spoiler alert: The vote was not fraudulent. Trump lost. Biden won.

NYT wouldn't let me read the link w/o subbing but I think I read it somewhere else today. It's a dude who stole like 250k 50 years ago and was finally ID'ed but he's dead now right?

They damn well better be 100% sure it's him or if I were part of his fam I'd come after the publications and gov't agencies with major lawsuits.

Also, well done bro. The thing I read said he was a real estate guy and lived a pretty good upper middle class life after the robbery till he died of cancer or something a few years back.

Somewhat related but not really...who is that guy back in black and white pictures days who stole a shit ton of cash then parachuted out of a plane and they never caught him? That guy was cool. Heists where no one gets hurt and a rando makes off with a ton of the bank's cash and never gets caught are always awesome!

Don't know the last guy you mentioned. I posted the google article link, so it shouldn't require the NYT sub (which I don't have). But yes, that's the story. Lynnfield is a ritzy town, so that's where the money went.

Anyway, he confessed on his death bed, and also they matched his info to some legal docs.

Here's another link

Here is another blindly loyal Trump supporter who believed The Big Lie about a "stolen election" and obeyed his idol's command to march to the Capitol and "fight like hell." He was originally indicted on 17 counts. He pleaded guilty to two. Lock him up! Lock him up!

I do subscribe to NYT digital and they sometimes let you 'gift' 10 articles to share with someone else. Not sure if it would work in this case however.

Isn't there a 7 year statute of limitations on this type of crime?

Mr. Elliott said the Randele family would not be charged for failing to disclose Mr. Conrad’s confession to the authorities. Mr. Conrad had been indicted and there is no statute of limitations on bank robbery, so he would have still been arrested if the authorities had found him, Mr. Elliott said.
