OMG! If this was really just the guy driving like a moron and a mistake then I feel so bad for him. There is no other situation in the country worse then crashing into the President's motorcade. Like he must have been all upset he crashed, then he's completely swarmed and they have to rust the President to the beast.

I like watching videos of dumb drives and the best are the ones that crash into cop cars. This is a million times worse.

Even this gets reported differently by different sources:

The crash caused a loud bang on the street, and Biden looked over to see the commotion.

With the little bit they have shown so far, it looks like the guy was having a bad day and managed to get into the worlds most expensive fender bender.
He's going to have a bitch of a time finding car insurance now.

The owner of the car wash is Matias Jara. I wonder if he calls himself Jara the Hutt.

Did any of you see this? It's the lead story on CNN right now.

I don't feel super bad for the guy who got scammed. I mean if he can liquidate 1.8 million he shouldn't be dumb enought to fall for random girls texting him on Whatsapp. But they aren't girls, they're immigrants who were promised jobs then forced into slavery scamming people in these huge compounds. I feel bad for those guys.

I guess I generally agree. Anyone who gets involved in dumping money to an unsolicited online person deserves to get cleaned out. And I suppose the slave thing is bad, but is it much different than those who work in sweatshops, or mine for metals through landfills? Lots of bad shit happens in Asia. And most of the end products get sold at Wal-Mart.

It's a really oddly formatted news article.
I found it too distracting.

Didn't have a clue they built full-on prison compounds for kidnapping these slaves.

I thought the format was fascinating. Reading the texts and hearing the audio on a Flash style phone icon was neat. Usually I wouldn't read an entire article like that but this one kept my interest the whole way. Of course at the end they have a video that's like 3 mins and covers the entire article. If that was at the top I probably wouldn't have read it all. Good job with user retention CNN.

Yea Scotch, you're very right. And yes the sweatshops for Apple or whatever in China are worse and do the same thing where they create giant compounds. Also the poor people and kids who dig for metals in dumps for shit that makes batteries is really sad. But they aren't slaves. It doesn't make it better but they do it cause they have no other options. And yea taking a few lashes or being forced to do squats if you aren't a good enough scammer is rough but its not as bad as like the slaves who built the world cup stadiums in Saudi Arabia. However the difference here is a lot of the scammer slaves are educated people who thought they were getting legit white collar IT jobs. What a fucking shock that must be to those poor people.

The formatting was too distracting. It actually kept me from finishing the article.
It kept breaking the continuity and taking me out of the story.

I take it this was not a wheelchair? I know my wife saw several movies in her wheelchair with no issue. I don't see why a regular chair would not fit in the spots they have reserved for a wheelchair.

Yea it seems he can walk in but needs a special chair to sit in. But he took it to the handicapped area not like in the aisle or whatever.

Same with my mom. We went to movies and Eagles games and down the shore/boardwalk with her in the motorized chair with no issues at all. And that was in the 90's.

That is kinda messed up.
Everybody is finally used to accommodating wheelchairs. It should only take a quick minute to make the connection. If he wasn't blocking an aisle, it shouldn't have been a problem.
