Not only is it weird to do this with your dad (imagine the alert goes off...) but it's ineffective since all you do is get an old phone, put it on wifi and use that one. Duh.

With a very quick search of "Protesters Blocking Road/Roads" I have found at least 7 times (in this and other threads) dating back to 2016 where I have talked about how there are fewer things that upset me more than people protesting for whatever cause by blocking highways and roads. If you decide to sit in the middle of I95 or whatever and I run your ass over, that's on you.
(Also when I'm alone in the car I generally just have uncontrollable road rage but let's not talk about that.)
Finally both my home state and other state governments are starting to agree with me:

Kenneth Darlington, 77, was seen on camera walking up to climate change protesters blocking a road in Panama, taking out a handgun and opening fire. Two protesters died.
I mean getting shot in the leg or something seems reasonable to me if you're blocking the road but being killed is a little harsh.
