Minor Ailments

That seems odd. It doesn't seem like it was that much time spent saxing around.

Are you sure it wasn't there before, and you just hadn't noticed it?
I agree, a week of putting pressure on that elbow doesn't seem to equal months of inflammation. I'm pretty certain it wasn't there before noticing it. I also thought that my new home/work office setups could've been to blame. But upon further thought, that seems less likely.

Popeye's Elbow is not only a more fun-sounding name for olecranon bursitis, it would also make a good name for an alternative rock band.

Mister scotch, here is something that will cheer you up. Or not. I adapted I'm Popeye The Sailor Man just for you:

I have Popeye's Elbow, man.
I have Popeye's Elbow, man.
I played saxophone,
Hurt my left elbow bone.
I have Popeye's Elbow, man.

When they prescribe you a medicine, do you ever make the mistake of reading the potential side effects?

Geez, now I might end up with kidney stones, seizures, hearing loss, and gout.

Or better yet... the potential side effects are the same exact thing you're seeking to get rid of in the first place!

Pretty much every prescription medication has death and diarrhea as side effects. Not sure which is worse.

Along with Constipation, Diarrhea, Skin rash or dermatitis, Dizziness, Drowsiness, Insomnia, Dry mouth, Headache, Nausea, Suicidal thoughts, Abnormal heart rhythms, Internal bleeding, Bloody stools, Sweaty Ears, Moodiness, and Enlarged Nipples.

Capecitabine is used to treat breast cancer and colorectal cancer. One of its possible side effects is "hand and foot syndrome." In severe cases, HFS can cause a smoothing of the skin of the fingers. The patient could seek employment as a safecracker and not have to worry about leaving fingerprints. In theory, of course. I'm not recommending that anyone try it.

I'm a cripple.

I blew out my left knee.

That's what I get for trying to be healthy and walking 3.5 miles/day.

It really, really hurts. I told myself I'd give it a week to see if it got better. It has gotten worse. I need to see a doctor. This sucks, I'm walking with a limp.

At least you didn't hurt it falling down a ditch at a Publix parking lot!

See, you are making progress at getting your life together. :clap2:
No pain, no gain.

i called out of work today.

i have a doctor's appointment for my knee.

we'll see how this goes.

i'm pretty sure i just want to kill myself. (that's a joke so you know.)

should have gone to the doc yesterday but whatever, i have like 60 hours of PT.

this is incredible pain.

Do any of you remember when life was worth living?

I don't.

I used to have a working knee and a girlfriend. Those days are gone.
