Let's Talk About Animals

Apparently it’s 18 for most cats. Each front paw has 5, each back paw has 4. I would have guessed 16 total.
Dogs often have 18 also but more variations than cats and 20 is common.

I want to post this moment from Sunday morning so if I look at this post in a few years I will remember.
As I was sitting on my porch bench listening to Workshy "Love Is The Place To Be", I saw what I thought was a butterfly approaching my rose bush. It turned out to be a two-inch green hummingbird, It came within an inch of the bush for a second and flew away over my neighbor's house and was gone as fast as it came.

“Scientifically hummingbirds are the world’s cutest animals.

I mean they’re so small, they have tiny beaks and they only eat sugar water. I mean what beats that?”

That's Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec. I can't find the video clip but she was right. Except for manatees of course.

That would really be something if I saw a manatee from my porch bench.
I also do not want to forget on that same day from my porch bench, a little red car cruising down our street at the actual speed limit.
Had a little white puppy with most of its body out of the car window. We made good eye contact so the driver waved to me

My dad has a hummingbird feeder on the front porch of the cabin. It is fun to watch them. They are quarlsom with each other over the feeder.
