Dude. That poor manatee. I saw that story and didn't want to post it. Huge bummer. That story is 1,000,000 x worse than trying to forcibly take over the government.

Also, the headline I read said it was "carved" into its back, this one says scrawled. Was it carved or written? If carved don't tell me, it will only make me sad.

In much nicer manatee news, I'll be heading to Epcot and that means I'll get to see my Epcot manatees today!!!!!!!

PS. I need to post a new pic. My face is like 60lbs skinner now and I've got the bead down. No more of that shaving in the area btw/my lower lip and chin.

How dare you. There are some things that are simply universally offensive. I don't care if I'm acting like an SJW being offended at the drop a hat, where manatees are concerned all my principals go out the window to ensure their health and prosperity.

This is serious business. I expect you and us all to act as such.

Greta chose the wrong path. I don't care about the Earth in general, just the parts of the Earth that allow for manatees to thrive.

The June 2021 issue of WDW magazine has an article about the EPCOT attraction "The Seas With Nemo & Friends." There are two manatees, Lou and Lil' Joe, in the Marine Mammal tank but they will not be permanent residents. Lou was hit by a boat and injured and Lil' Joe was orphaned as a baby. After they are rehabilitated, they will be released. The article says they eat nearly 100 heads of lettuce each day.

After they're back in the Atlantic Ocean, what will they do when they're unable to find any lettuce?

The epcot manatees are a 100% not to be missed attraction when in that park. I even write it down. I list the rides I do in each park because I'm a weirdo and "manatees" always makes the list...after like Spaceship Earth and The Land. The Nemo ride is ok, not great, but the manatee tank has 2 levels! You can watch them from both above and below. They're so cute. And like you mentioned, there is some Disney person there who's whole job seems to be throwing them heads of lettuce for them to chomp on. Talk about the best job ever.

F. Now I'm sad. I have to wait until August to see my epcot manatees again.

My epcot manatee love has been documented in this thread and it is stronger today than it has ever been.

Like I said the tank has viewing area from the top and bottom. I must have spent about half an hour staring at these guys. There are two of them, both male, one around 1,800 lbs and the other only 1,500 lbs. They were so cute. I will be checking them out every time I go to Disney from now on. I felt a little bad about them being in a tank but they are both rescues. One has his back fin all mangled from a boat, it's kinda sad but all healed and he seems happy enough.

Right when I thought Disney couldn't get any better they go and have two of my favorite things in the world in full view of the public.

I still play Animal Crossing almost everyday and now it will be my mission in life to get this little fella on my island.
