Today a Top 10 for Donna Summer.

6. Bad Girls
5. MacArthur Park

"Last Train to London" was the 5th single from the album "Discovery". The second single "The Diary of Horace Wimp" was only released in the UK. "Last Train to London" peaked in the USA billboard chart @ #39 (The previous single "Confusion" made it all the way to #37). In Canada "Last Train to London" peaked @ #28 on Canadian pop charts which as you know is the world standard. The singles in order of release and their US/Canada chart peak:
  • Shine a Little Love (8/4)
  • The Diary of Horace Wimp (-/-)
  • Don't Bring Me Down (4/1)
  • Confusion (37/20)
  • Last Train to London (39/28)

End impersonation of Channel 98.

I would add the album "Discovery" to the must listen/perfect album list.

I forgot to post yesterday's ****. Here they are:

Lead Me On - Maxine Nightingale

Learning to Fly - Pink Floyd

Leather and Lace - Stevie Nicks (with Don Henley)

Let Go the Line - Max Webster

Lead Me On - Maxine Nightingale
Let Go the Line - Max Webster
First time hearing.
Let's Dance -David Bowie
Another of my "lobster" songs.
Let's Spend The Night Together - The Rolling Stones
I never remember this song exists.

I'm updating my top 5 Rolling Stones fav songs:

Rolling Stones

1. Waiting On A Friend
2. Start Me Up
3. Let's Spend The Night Together
4. Honky Tonk Women
5. You Can't Always Get What You Want
(6) Undercover Of The Night

Lido Shuffle - Boz Scaggs
Great song. Not on my 700+ list. Maybe it should be....

We should probably have a thread for these. I've got a few, including Let's Dance.
Maybe, maybe not. For one, I suspect some of the songs that some members loathe would make other members' heads explode. Secondly, I dislike/ loathe many of the top-ranked songs that other members posted, but I don't see the point in going on and on about how their song sucks. In fact, some of the combinations of songs that other members list as favorites blows my mind. But I don't bring it up, because I know how it feels to be told that (for example) Chris Cornell is unlistenable, or that it's a mistake to think that Audioslave was any good.
