Release Robin's Bra
During the vacation, we averaged 3 to 5 miles miles per day of walking. And that was the problem. Those Keens were fine for spending the day outdoors, or walking the beach at home. But they're not made for miles of walking.
Oh ok, that makes a lot more sense. Have you ever worn those sandals on days with miles of walking before? I think we all learn that lesson the hard way with some shoes or sandals we like at some point.
When I first started going back to Disney I wore my Birkenstock's on an Epcot day and by the end of the trip I had bloody wounds on the top of both feet where the top strap is and a nasty blister on my left foot. Now I wear the Birks in the car on the way there but I change into sneakers when I park.
Idrather is on the money with this:
I wear flip flop type shoes all summer except when going to work or somewhere I have to do a lot of walking.
It is still weird they took sooooooo long to heal. I don't have a memory of how long it took for my feet to heal which means it must have been well under 2 months because that would be very memorable. Your sandals got you way worse than mine apparently.
