I forgot to mention the Intel Core processor is part of the new EVO line. I think that makes it better.
Any ideas on what Chromebook? There's a ton of them. 4 gigs ram seems so little. My phone has 12. There's a trade off for the super cheap ones 6 gigs ram but 720 screen or 4 gigs with a 1080 screen.

The salesman repeatedly told me they would back the 3rd party sale. But like I said, I don't want to buy it that way. And I also don't want to split the sale price with some internet seller.I didn't realize they were doing that 3rd party thing. That sucks.
Is it a way to get out of in-store warranty claims or returns?
I kind of understand them only having the basic models in store. Casual shoppers are going to get whatever works and is a decent price. Power users that want loaded or customized machines are going to order them anyway.
My machine is starting to show it's age and I've been getting occasional battery warnings when I boot, so I'm afraid that I'll have to start shopping for a new one soon.
To me, it sounds oddly similar to the ticket scalping industry. They buy up tickets cheap, and resell them for a profit. The customer may think they're getting them from the original seller at the original price, but they're not, and that might cause problems.I’m not a fan of the idea. I’ll have to pay attention when I start shopping.
That was exactly what I was thinking. To me, it sounds oddly similar to the ticket scalping industry.
